I saw a funny cartoon once and it was aliens looking down at earth and the one alien says to the other..."silly earthlings, they have all their guns pointed at each other."

News Crawl: New Jersey apologized for slavery. A real milestone.

In case you haven't noticed, we've basically been fighting wars non-stop since our not so humble beginnings. If you trade in death, eventually, business is gonna run out.

At least it's being mentioned on TV, I guess.

Well, my parents are never going to even be able to try and retire. There is no possibility. They will have to work till they die. And if I don't get on disability (which I am sure I will, just a matter of time), I will too.

Because of this the worlds power structure is changing rapidly and instead of the country that dominates economically being the country that dominates militarily we may very well see the US as a country that dominates the world militarily be dominate, while eastern asia and europe fight it out for economic dominance. Our economy is gone and has been for some time. Our biggest money making export is entertainment like movies and tv.

Why do you think they are tightening control over society? When shit here gets bad people will wake their lazy asses up and rebel finally. The government is on it. The military is what we do with excess capital just like back in the fifties it was building new homes everywhere. So enjoy it but I'm planning to get dual citizenship and eventually when things are no longer tenable get out like the jews fled poland when Germany invaded.

what i'm worried about with the push towards globalization is that there won't be any place left to run to. that's why we gotta stand and fight for what we believe in

On a lighter note, I liked his line about McCain trying to be the "least unacceptable Republican candidate."
