Now with me having DSL, I am going to start uploading more of my music. I decided to start with this. This my cover of a tune called In Dreams. I interpreted it some years ago. Last night I was fooling around with it on my Les Paul, and decided to do a harsh one with effects and even a small lead guitar part.

Also, I wonder if any of you can guess where it's from .

So I take that as a no.

Has anyone else listened to this?

Well, I'll tell you guys what In Dreams is. It's actually off the soundtrack for the Fellowship of the Ring. It is a song at the end that groups the theme of the Shire and the theme of the Fellowship together with lyrics.

"when the cold of winter comes, starless nights will cover day, and the veiling of the sun, we will walk in bitter rain, but in dreams I can still hear your name, but in dreams, I will see you again"

"When the seas and mountains fall, and we come to end of days, in the dark I hear a call, calling me there, I will go there, and back again"

I loved In Dreams so much, I adapted it for acoustic finger picking guitar. Took me 3 straight hours to get it down. It sounds awesome on a classical guitar.

What this on was me screwing around with my Les Paul and effects. I thought it sounded extremely different, and kind of funny. So I did it and layered the effects and electric guitar for fun.

What did everyone else think?

I make a motion that in the future when you refer to your DSL internet connection that you just call it high speed internet. I wouldn't want anyone to be confused by reading this and think that because you got a collagen injection into your lips you can now upload songs. Internet is not the first thing that crosses my mind when I hear DSL. Sorry.

That said I listened to your recording. Didn't sound bad, wasn't my thing at all, but when you get more up I'd like to hear it. It just didn't go anywhere to me. Anyway, I'll have to share some music I've done sometime.

Well, I was going to try that you send it thing, but I couldn't find out how to post a song. It seemed to only let me send it to someone, and was trying to charge me for it. So I gave up on that. Dan suggested this purevolume.com site. I created an account there and added it up:

Doesn't work for me either, although I'd love to hear it.
