Is that how you spell Weasel?

Anyway, listen to this sick bull. There is a family here in Ohio, the Osbournes, one of those sickly rich families that owns everything, you know a finger in every pie and all that. Excavation, landscaping, landscaping and building materials, at least fifty office, warehouse and industrial buildings, farms, roads, they dredge the shipping channel in Fairport Harbour, and not to mention the land development-The Osbournes own around twenty housing developments, and this is the sickest item of them all.

Now more information. There's a river, well it's a branch of the Chagrin River, the East Branch of the Chagrin River is what they call it. It's a very pretty stream, a classic Great Lakes shale stream with high shale cliffs and rocky, craggy stream beds and cold, clear water. Which is a reason why it's a much loved stream in the area.

Not after the Osbournes got finished with it.

The Osbournes, using their incredible wealth and power, began a development project about two-hundred feet from the mouth of the East Branch. 8700 feet of streambed was destroyed by heavy equipment---it was dredged out essentially making the once rocky, rather swift stream a slow, muddy backwater. That's over one mile of pristine (pristine for NE Ohio standards), habitat destroyed. The East Branch is classified as a State Scenic River, which basically makes it a preserve, and supposedly, "preserves" it from development, and fines those who fuck with it. Kids have been fined for building little rock dams across the stream in the summertime.

There are piles of dredged material sitting on the banks, shale cliffs have been literally pushed away. The Reason for this? So the agricultural land situated on the floodplains that is owned by the city and leased by--who else? THE OSBOURNES...will not flood in the springtime. But, because of the damage done, floodwaters will not be able to naturally overflow into the floodplains and will instead rush down to the nearby cities of Willoughby and Eastlake. And flood them. But thank God the Osbournes cabbages will be dry!

Now what makes this even sicker is that all of this work was done without a single permit. The EPA stated that one would have definately NOT be issued to the Osbournes to perform this work. The Army Corps of Engineers said the same.

Now here is what happened to the Osbournes. They were given TEN days to come up with a plan to fix the River. They never did. Nothing has happened since then. And, probably, nothing will.

Thank you money. As a die-hard fisherman and a lover of my area's unique waterways, this pisses me off so damn much that I'm about to put my killin' gloves on. You kill off some deer, fine, give me venison. You start killing my Rivers, I'm gonna hurt you. Look out Jerome Osbourne. You mutherfucker.

The universe won't be lonely for long! Not with Hillary Clinton on Mars. I Heart (MIKE) Huckabee!

No. That's actually a quote from one of my favorite movies, I Heart Huckabees.

The woods are hopeless. Don't waste your time, they will be destroyed. So will the marsh. It is a losing game mankind has played for more than a century. Sadness is what you are, do not deny it. The universe is a lonely place, a painful place. This is what we can share between us, period.

You should kill them, it sounds like they wouldn't be missed very much.

All kidding aside, that is a shame, I love water ways and I hate rich people with power and construction companies.
