Well, as some of you know I have a lot of medical problems. My problems are physical and mental. I have immune system problems, sinus, ears, heart and blood pressure (not high, mine has been dipping lately, to points where I cannot work, and we don't even know why yet), and many minor ones for my body. As for mental, I am bi-polar, obsessive compulsive, and have epilepsy.

This is the big news . . . I am now ELIGIBLE for Social Security Disabled Income!!! This is a big thing for me, because it's horrible at what jobs I have to take to have insurance to pay for all my meds and doctor visits. Many companies (including one I am at right now) have tried to fire me for taking too many sick days, or having problems arise that interfere with working in what ever position I am in. I am still at home with no way to move out, and the hours I have to work are horrible on my mind and body. In the past few weeks there were points that I was about to snap mentally because of my life.

Social Security would be a life saver for me! I could move out, take a less stressful job, and finally live my life! I will know within 3-5 months if I get it. Big news though that my interview went well, and I can get SSDI! I want to cry I am so happy. Plus, if I get it, I get back pay to today!

I am so happy, I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel, and it's not a train coming to kill me!

I just thought I'd share this to the first message board that hasn't attacked me or turned against me, and I hope never will.

Oh, I'll be whining till the day I die ;) (which I hope to be 80 at that point).

I just know I'll get on it, just the question is when. Some people have to try a few times to get on it, but with me having so many multiple problems (not just one) I think I have a very good shot to get it on the first try. Either way, I know I am good to get in, just now I got to wait.

And again for whining, I'll quote a song

"the waiting is the hardest part"

That is great news! Mental problems can be hell! One of the problems with mental illnesses is the lack of compassion from people. People feel sorry for those with cancer or physical diseases, but mental problems are treated differently. There's a feeling like "snap out of it." People don't get it that no one wills themselves to be bi-polar or have other mental problems. They can't just "snap out of it!" They are still physical problems manifested in the brain!

I worked with several bi-polar students and they had a rough life, for sure! I hope I made a positive difference in their lives.

Here's to a new start in life! Congratulations!
