Posted - 10/19/2007 : 3:18:02 PM I've got a Regal RC-2, I love the thing...Cheap, but great quality-I like it better than the new National Style O's...National doesn't even make a 14-fret body now (?) I owned a Dobro Houndog (wood body roundneck) but I sold it... Have you heard Lang's podcast for Dislocation? Good stuff. |

Posted - 10/19/2007 : 1:35:15 PM Awesome! Do you have a Dobro, Fender, or a National? I borrow my bro's Dobro from time to time anytime I am wiped out of ideas in standard tuning. So much fun playing a steel guitar. I need to re-buy all my CW albums, most are all scratched. |

Posted - 10/18/2007 : 3:42:37 PM Pam, i see you are attached to my veal. He will eat the leaves.
Rubylith, that's a very kind gesture, and I'm sure it's well appreciated by many, even if they aren't there. Last Nov. 20th it rained enough for me to have the day off--I listened to just about every CW album that day, restrung and shined up my steel guitar and played that thing to pieces. It felt good.
Tericee! It's gode to se you aruond! |

Posted - 10/18/2007 : 11:19:25 AM How's it going Jay? Hearing (seeing) you talk (type) about Chris Whitley brought me much joy. Thank you!
Going to do another candle light vigil at my house for Mr. Whitley on Nov 20th. I usually don't like to do things on the anniversary of someone's death, I think it's more appropriate to do something on their birthday, obviously. However, this will be a nice night remembering a man who touched the lives of so many. LONG LIVE WHITLEY! |

Posted - 10/16/2007 : 6:06:11 PM Yeah, I second Pam's last post.
Man, it's good to hear from you. We can never have too many CW/JL fans. And I know what you mean about both those albums. |

Posted - 10/16/2007 : 3:39:05 PM Hey Jay, yep, as far as I know I am still Pam, LOL! So you want your smelly calf back....well you can have it, it's eating up my lawn and making a mess, not to mention its driving my dogs crazy! So yes, please take the damn calf back! It's fat and ready to go! Hey, how about raking my leaves while you are at it.
So great to hear from you and I have to say this........Jay, lay off the weed! |

Posted - 10/16/2007 : 1:57:24 PM Sorry for slipping out under the door there, but I figured I'd come back and say hey, ya know? Have some entertaining conversations! How could I NOT? I'm doing great, about to go blow some leaves (that's money makin' season for Jay, folks!) for my brother's company (I've quit TWICE this year, funny story) Then it's a month off before my two-year no-school vacation ends. Bleh, no worries there, I'm pumped. Now, don't think Jay's going to a big university...oh no...community college but hey, it'll do. It's great as far as community jobs go, and they can probably get me from refering to myself in the third person. In fact, that's priority #1. Arthen, I couldn't possibly begin to describe how Reiter In made me feel. It came out my last year of High School, which is testament enough---Mountainside especially---I think "love it" is an understatement. I REQUIRE Reiter In, I think you get what I'm saying. Dislocation, a lesser degree. A little too slick on a few numbers, but all together something I can't live without. I saw Jeff Lang and Grant Cummerford play live in Cleveland last year, (My 4th Lang show) and Jeff play Dirt Floor, plus opening the show with 12 thousand miles, he dedicating everything to Chris. And he was on FIRE. Pam, you got my fatted calf? I...I want my fatted calf...It is great to hear from you---I hope your name is Pam or else I'll feel like a jackass (Lay off the weed, eh?) You were always so kind to me, I missed that! I was actually thinking about you the other day and hoped you were still around on the board. I'm glad to see you are! Dan...Dan Pee. Oh dear God. I deliver the subject. You Deliver the stinger. It's good to hear from you, sir. Kevin, long time no speakies? Do I Owe you CD's? I was in the middle of a trade with..someone...when something pretty awful happened to this computer thingy (it was SMOKING!) and I forgot. If that was you I apologize, I will send my entire CD collection immediatly (after a run to Rite-Aid for CDRs.) Anywho, it is also a pleasure to hear from ya (or read from ya.) So uh, the reason for being gone, like i told Kevin, the old computer fried somehow, it stunk like hell and there seemed to be smoke--and two days later, there's Pops with a new one. I decided not to spend so much time with this new computer---it has lights and shit and I'd rather be outside, anyway---and that decision combined with a 60 (at least) hour workweek meant not much time for posting. I was on the CW board once and a while, just mostly to post tabs I'd written, but I don't know why I neglected my friends here. It is really, truly nice to hear from you all again, I probably won't be around too much this fall due to my suicidal work habits but once winter comes you will want me to leave. Fuck driving a plow truck! I will SIT at HOME! HAHAHA! Pam. My CALF! |
