I need to buy a video recorder. I am electronically illiterate, LOL

Seriously, I spent hours looking up all types of cameras on amazon and still have no clue which one to get.

My needs are simple. I want easy access to download on my pc. Something that is not hugely expensive. Simple to operate, with reasonably good resolution and 60 mins min of recording time. I also would like something that can record in darker places without using extra lighting.

I need to record things for my college class and it would also be nice to have something to take to concerts (especially the TR/Soko show in C'ville)

Any suggestions?

This is the Canon, Pam.

I hear this JVC is also competent.

Here's a nice Sony, for a slighty higher price tag.

Thanks Jared, just one more question, which model? Any of these?
Someone said in their review that the sound quality on these models was not good. He said the older models were better????

Pam, I highly suggest the Canon ZR camera I used to tape TR's shows in my area, inexpensive, easy to use, great film quality, shoots in true widescreen, and can use the LP90 function. A great buy.
