i will say this. that you've been playing for 2 and a half years and are that good is, well, goddamn scary. i don't mean it in some half-humorous way, either. it's seriously frightening. but, since you're a music major, you probably practice at least 8 hours a day. |

Good to hear! I just get tired of seeing videos of people who can't actually play music as a whole, playing some technical song. They'd be good either way, but I was just hoping that if you were willing to spend the time to play that stuff you'd have your head screwed on straight and it sounds like you do. |

well ive been playing guitar for 2 and a half years... so iv been playing those songs for about 6 months or so.... i learnt them awhile ago but kept on working on them until they were really clean... and yes i can read music, im actually attending a music school studying classical guitar |

Good job. Hope you don't mind, but I have two questions. How long did it take you to learn those? Do you read music (and I mean actually read as in someone puts something in front of you and you play it)? |

Adam, that was some serious guitar playing. I thought it was cute that somebody thoguht it was actually a dubbed recording of JK.
One critique (if any?) that could be made is that the second song was played too fast. Yeah, yeah I know that speed is a cool part of that song, but I think you need to give the listener time to appreciate certain notes that seem to fly by. It isn't just you - JK does this as well in his own recordings.

I really wish I could comment on this video, or almost all others on youtube and such, but my 56k makes it take so long I want to toss my computer at the wall.
Anyways, just wanted to say that since I don't normaly post content in posts such as these, I am sorry that I can't contribute anything to threads like these.

HOLY CRAP! I didn't watch the second when I first posted...
That second video's first part is almost IDENTICAL to a song I wrote in 2003 thats on my latest album..the actual Justin King version is different compared to how alike your version is....the first part is like 95% exactly the same...thats nuts!!! I never even listened to him before m...NUTS |
