Posted - 10/03/2006 : 5:48:28 PM ok, so i'm playin this gig. i've just incorporated singing into it. so i go through some songs, no problem. i get to my 2nd vocal song, peter gabriel's "in your eyes." things are going along great. then i come to the lyric "in your eyes/the light, the heat/in your eyes/i am complete/in your eyes/i see the doorway/to a thousand churches." except, for some reason, i sang "i see the doorway/to a thousand churches burning."
then i do something that goes against all my training. i just stopped mid-song. that's a mortal sin. everyone's silent. i'm thinking to myself "so what have we got here? an appalled audience and no music? what do i do." so i said, "well, i guess we know the source of the light and heat. heh heh heh." swish.
the set was considerably shorter that i had originally thought.

Too bad you stopped...I would have loved to have heard about the reaction if you just kept going...
