So my girlfriend's brother-in-law (who is by far one of the coolest dudes ever) has amung a million other endevours, a clothing company, and set up a vendor tent for the Weenie Roast, and snuck us inside where we met some dudes that made fake pit passes for the show. I got there a bit last as I had to work that morning, but long story short, we were in the pit, 15 feet away from The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Dave Grohl also played a suprise acoustic set. Matisyahu was also awesome. Angels and Airwaves and AFI also played but neither of them are my cup of tea. RHCP rocked our socks off though. I'd seen them once before and it was amazing, but being in the pit was just incredible.

How'd the new material sound live? I've only heard a few cuts, haven't picked up the album yet.
