Posted - 04/10/2006 : 01:40:27 AM i just had this thought. i don't know how many people here follow sports at all, so this may not really be a good topic, but what's anyone's opinion on the usage of steriods on the part of professional athlete's.
my first answer to this question was "let the athletes do what they want. they play to win, so let them do what it takes to win. the body is a piece of sports equipment here, nothing more." how then i saw how it didn't line up with my own assessment of using drugs to "enhance" your playing. as you probably know, i don't particularly think it's good, or that it does anything you can't do through more practice. point is, how can someone before for "performancing enhancing drugs" in some instances and against them in a virtually identical situation? doesn't add up, logically. seems to me if your against athletes using steriods you have to be against musicians using drugs to enhance their playing. to say ok to one but not the other seems like arbitrarily firing off opinions without giving them careful consideration.
of course, if you don't give a shit about sports, the problem fixes itself.

Posted - 04/10/2006 : 07:55:54 AM It's all fixed anyway, who cares if they wanna 'roid it up till their muscles rot? Certainly not all the beer-fueled retards who follow that crap and refer to the team as 'we.' Fuck 'em.
They are overpaid and overappreciated.
