I have another humble request. Can we keep a list of the mentioned rising bands in a thread like this? I'll get a list started from recent posts I've noticed. Normally I like to stick with the main stream music but there's some incredible talent out there and some of their websites are getting lost in miscellanious threads. I'll start with:

The purpose of this is for myself mostly to have a large unorganized list of great bands for me to check out. Also someone who is able to contribute can see an unorganized list of others that he may not have listened to yet. I'm not suggesting we merge any threads, it's just if you notice one not on the list from another unrelated thread, add it for my reference.
As far as the search is concerned it is slow and clumsy when I tried to use it for this specific purpose. I ended up having to use the search on myspace to find the rowboat cops.

So the search engine is a great way to find posts. It is also why you see me change so many titles of posts. Think about what you title something so you can find it easier later. Calling things DOH! or What do you think? or I'm dumb! don't really help you locate the topic later. More careful consideration of a title would help the board stay neat and make things easier to find. When you do a search if you just search in subject line the search engine is quite fast. It just requires that threads are titled properly. Hope this helps!! |

thanks for the list, but i think a thread for all political topics and all new bands is a bad idea, because it's a huge pain in the ass to identify a certain band or topic when they're all jumbled to together. it makes discourse about a specific topic difficult.
i'll try to find some new fantasy neo-metal, though. |
