Pam wanted me to post a little more of my poetry. Feel free to post your own, if you wish, or comment on what I write, if you wish. Just one thing, if you comment, be blunt and honest, and that means if you dont like it, say so .

Du Tust Mir Leid Nicht Mehr

Meine Stimme ändert nicht,
wenn ich deine Namen sage
Ich habe er so viele Male gesagt,
dass er nicht mehr schön ist

Scotch That

When my bladder is full
I carry it to the well
Where I give penance
For my drinking

To Do List

I only ask, in this year of Mistresses,
Teacups, and lips of red and brine,
That I come back as your tunless humming
Over well loved culinary;
I ought to be where your lips can
Hear me, but promptly forget
By morning

Because I Can't Eat Your Couch

"Is it getting warm in here?"
Asked the goldfish in a teapot
Before turning around once more

"Is it getting warm in here?"
Asked the goldfish in a teapot
Before turning around once more

Tera

We picniked that night
In a knot in your shoulder
You were too tense
That kept us dry when the rain came

Growing On Trees

Don't think that I
Don't think it funny
But income tax
And out go money

May Everything You Love Be With You Always

I speak of you
In present perfect
Because you're neither

Wow, Aria, just read some of your poems. Loved the one of NYC. I will be going there with the nineth graders sometime in May (whoopie, LOL) but your mention of South Street Seaport reminded me that the trip is all worth it if the weather is good and we can relax there before the trip home. That is where we stop and have dinner, the kids do their thing, and we adults do ours. I just hope we don't get stuck in the tunnel for an hour like we did last year. That really freaked me out!

Anyway, nice website!

I 've done this with words... you just let them roll over your tongue enough...and suddenly they are foreign

I'll let you know! I am excited for that book too! Hehe.

Looking forward to seeing you in the Poetry Corner!

Ah that explains why I couldn't get it to work, LOL. I will check out your new site after work. As for the kids at work, very sad. The daughter is gorgeous and when I saw the picture of her mom in the obits yesterday, I was amazed at how much she looks like her mom. Her mom was only 40.

I live within minutes of Sesame Place and whenever I see their signs now, I think of you! BTW,"F" is for friendship!

Oh, and please let me know when they release that new version of The Monster at The End of this Book, I definitely want a copy of it!

Pam, I am sorry to hear about what happened

I am also sorry, because my poetry forum was shut down this morning. I have, however created a new one on a free forum site (link below) I would be honored if you came and joined us there. Please, spread the word and help it grow.

Ariel, thanks for the email and info on the web sight. I am going to try to get on it tonight if I don't fall asleep at this computer, LOL.

FYI Erich, you may not like some of your past poems, but I do and really enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane. Thanks Fluffy for posting those. I needed your poetry right now Erich.

They say life is stranger than fiction, and this week at school proved to be no exception. The mom of one of my 9th grade girls was struck and killed by an SUV Sat night while she attempted to cross a street near our local mall. The brother of the 20 year old who hit her is also in 9th grade and both are in my 7th period class! Such a sad situation and I am concerned about what next week will bring, if they will both be back in school. Some of the kids were getting on the boy's case as if he had something to do with it! Sad for his brother because it was an accident, he just didn't see her. No drugs or alcohol involved.
Life really sucks sometimes!

That's why message boards created the DELETE button! Sorry for dredging up the past but if you would rather people didn't see it go ahead and delete it and I will make the link vanish into thin air! (Just so ya know, published poets don't have that luxury hehe We get to scan their past as well and observe their progression. Just some food for thought)

Thanks Erich, very fun read! I had a great time with you and Ariel Sat night. Wish I had caught up with you earlier, I would have taken you to dinner at one of the places I know in the area. As usual, things end up happening last minute for me. Please have Ariel email me, tell her to put "childrens books" in the subject so I know its her. It was awesome meeting her. Speaking of children, I better get my rear in gear or I will be late for work!

Hi, Pam! Signed up for the board last night. It was such a pleasure meeting you as well! I am at my desk at Sesame with the Mexicali Blues show as my soundtrack... not ready to let go of the weekend. Hope all is well! And if you are interested I can send you the link to the poetry/creativity forum i co-mod. <3
