This first track is me playing henry mancini's pink panther theme, check it out. I recorded my chord melody first, then added a little bit of background guitar with some comping, harmonics, and string scratches.

The second track is my version of TR's loose interpretations, not as good as pink panther I don't think, but I guess not bad still.

Good stuff.
I'll post the links to my crap some day. I'm a programmer and am not artistically inclined in the least but I have 2 bad recording of songs that took me a long time to write (or as Jack Black would say, oh i just wrote it in like 5 minutes, it;s a work in progress)
I've not taken guitar lessons, I have a student guitar, and one of them was written and performed after my D string had snapped and before I could go get a new one.
Being very left brained I just like the melodius sound that's simple enough just to attract a sound. Even though I'm not very good my kids like it when i play guitar so there might be more to come. I might as well make the links right now:

Thanks. I used a boss BR-900 to record them, then EQed the files on my computer and converted em to mp3's, i'm surprised myself by the quality.
Lineage: my fingers --> taylor 314ce --> ernie ball volume pedal --> boss dd-6 --> boss CS-3 --> Line6 DL4 --> boss EQ7 er w/e the # is.. --> BR-900 8-track recording device.
I'll be posting my files on my myspace from now on for permanent residence on my latest files.
