So I know the song, but I had never seen the video of Aphex Twin Come To Daddy. It is a truly beautiful DEMENTED video. You have to check it out. If you haven't seen TR cover it yet. After hearing the track try to imagine TR covering it on an acoustic guitar. ROCKING!!!!

ENJOY? hehe

Thanx to Whit for the link.

I played on Saturday and some drone yelled out:

"do ya got any Bob Seiger in ya?"

Im like "I sure hope not, but I was pretty drunk last night"

then went into playing Come To Daddy...haha

then after he said "Well if that wasn't the ultimate 'Fuck You' I don't know what is"

haha

That's sick, I've seen footage of Squarepusher playing, but never Aphex Twin.

And do you feel scared, I do, but I won't stop and falter. And if we throw it all away, things can only get better.

Howard Jones, no way, I am all about 80's, Fluffy.

Lesko, check out the Bad Plus's cover of Flim on their debut album "These Are the Vistas" or for a whole album of Aphex covers, check out Alarm Will Sound's Acoustica album...Aphex covers done completely with acoustic instruments...good stuff.

Yes, but I don't know how much. Rew saw him when he played at 9:30 Club here in DC. He told me that he spent the whole show laying on a couch on the stage playing everything off a computer in front of him on coffee table. Later in the show he had a big pink bear and a big blue bear come out and dance on stage. Sounds quite surreal and AWESOME!

On a similar note, I once saw Howard Jones(I can feel the blank stares of "who?")perform live at a now defunct club called The Bayou and he had a tiny casio type keyboard onstage and that was it. He played all his songs with one finger and danced around. Ahhhh, the 80's!

The Come to Daddy EP is a must have. The song Flim on there is great. I still need to get the Druqs album, I think that is the only one I don't have. Does anyone know if this guy ever tours?

Yeah, you should check out his Windowlicker video as well, master Fluffy. Another dandy.

For any of you who are interested in MORE Aphex...go to www.youtube.com and search for Aphex Twin. You can watch all of his videos and a live performance. For music, check out his Richard D. James Album, I Care Because You Do Album, or his Druqks album...all awesome.

Another wild mind out there akin to our own TR!
