So I was burgled. Is that a word?
Wednesday, while I was sitting in my German cinema class watching "The Golem", it was quite excellent, someone walked into my house, went to my room, grabbed my laptop, and walked out. While my three roommates were in their own rooms.
It's all okay now, because I've got a new computer, an Emachines set up which is a lot nicer since Gateway took them over.
Anyways, it was pretty scary and since then I've put an additional lock on the door to my own room. |

The second disc of "The Name of the Band is Talking Heads" was in the laptop at the time. So I lost that disc, which really sucks cause it was a hell of a live disc. Nothing else was taken. They walked past my roommate's Xbox, not to mention my Martin guitar. The police told me it was probably the laptop because you can throw it in a backpack and it's out of sight out of mind. |

Man, that's shitty. I've always felt pretty safe based on the fact that myself and my roommates are all 6 foot tall athletic guys, but I guess that doesn't matter. Either your hamburgler was really ballsy, or it was someone who really had the place scoped and knew when to hit. At least you got a nicer system out of it. Was that the only thing jacked? No cds or anything else? |
