I'll get into the details of tickets later... but just a quite post to say that my girlfriend and I saw Fiona Apple at the Wiltern Theatre in LA this past Saturday. We had general admission pit tix, so we waited for about 5 hours outside in some freezing wind but it was worth it, because we got a spot leaning up on stage right by her piano. As for the show, I'd go as far to say that that it was a historic performance, and I'm not even a fanatic of hers, or anything. A fan yes, but not a fanatic.

The girl has some serious issues. I could tell she doesn't like to perform. The songs were very personal, to the point where she was often screaming the lyrics, and then was screaming and massaging her head away from the mic. It was almost personal to the point where I felt a bit weird sitting there listening to it. Nonetheless, that passion traslated to one hell of a live show. I was very impressed. I'll go into more detail later, but she has a few more solo shows left, and then, is opening for Coldplay over the next year or so, so if you have the chance, I'd go.

I myself am not really into Fiona Apple either but I can tell by the way she is that she would perform like that. She is going for that emotionally troubled angle. She to me sort of in the same boat as the early Alanis Morrisette..... strike Dave Coulier from the record. The angry artsy female solo performer. Either way i'm sure the show was intense. I probably should know more music by Fiona
