Posted - 10/31/2005 : 3:06:58 PM Hopefully someone will have an answer to this. I have a crappy cell phone that i have made 2 in-store returns for defective phones. I went to the store today to talk to them about it and they told me to call the warranty line. Said they would be able to replace it with a comperable phone. The warranty line guy said that, tho they could do that, the two returns were "in-store" and they could not verify them. Seems they have to have at least one return through them before they will consider switching the phone to a different brand. I have no interest in having a 4th crappy phone, I want something else. Here is my question. I told him to go ahead and send me the replacement crap and i guarenteed him it WOULD be defective, come hell or high water. Does anyone know how to short out or otherwise render a cell phone useless with no visable damage (would void my guarentee to have water or visable damage). I was thinking maybe I could put something metal in the battery spot to short it. Any ideas?? |

Posted - 11/03/2005 : 10:50:11 AM We blew our microwave up here at work, on accident, but it was still awesome! Someone just used one of those cleaner bags you put in it but the damn thing caught on fire and there were actual flames shooting out. It left a freakin hole in the top of the microwave. It was sweet! |

Posted - 11/03/2005 : 10:36:39 AM ok...basically what'll happen is...your microwave might be a little bit damaged, due to the metal content of the phone. but maybe not too bad or at all if its only for a second or two. thats all it'll take to short it out. no it isnt a tested theory, its just a theory. |

Posted - 11/03/2005 : 09:53:17 AM Seriously guys, is this a tested theory or a guess? I'm not stupid enough to stick it in my own microwave so before I trek out to 7-11, what's gonna happen? |

Posted - 11/01/2005 : 11:29:08 AM yeah i have an idea...Put it in the microwave for a couple seconds. You'll short that son-of-a-bitch right out. That should work. Or you can mix equal parts of crushed kitty litter, and gasoline to make homemade napalm, at which point you could explode the phone...but that doesnt help. But yes, try the micro wave!! Not too long tho, youll melt the plastic. |
