Posted - 11/01/2005 : 12:07:42 PM Yeah...maybe a mix. White Rhyno thrown in there for variety. lol that was great. I think it makes them play better. It must...i mean, Tim at least. His thoughts would just be even more spacey...which would = even more intense guitar magic. |

I've wondered that too. It sounds to me like he says, "that's Tim Raines, Reynolds. Tim Reynolds." I don't know, maybe Dave walked off stage during his performance and smoked a fatty and then forgot Tim's last name for a minute. But I could be way off. |

Wait a minute... I too love boobies. They have many purposes: they're nice to look at, especially nice to touch, and they work well as pillows. I also love a good nipple. Yea, that's hot!
Wait... I think I just felt it move. Alright, that's it for me. I'm out of the contest. |

Posted - 10/27/2005 : 6:12:48 PM No no, very good point! Appreciated. Building Tim's fan base has been something that I've enjoyed doing for quite some time. And hopefully what you said will be the case, if he does come. All im saying is, in my personal opinion, i think its better to fill a seat with someone that really appreciates the music for what it is/ what it stands for. It's more about appreciation. If someone goes that has no idea who TR is, but they in turn become a huge fan GREAT! thats amazing. But if someone goes and doesnt give two shits in the first place, and comes out the same person...well thats fine too, everyones different. It's just ironic that sometimes the people who'd really love to see a certain group perform live never get to go, but the people who are indifferent somehow make their way in. |

Although, on some occasions, rich pricks will go to shows just to go. They dont know anything about the artist, they just go and sit there.
But this could be a good thing. You see, when someone who has no idea of who TR is but then gets to see him play and hear his music then I would say more times than not they really dig it and then get turned on to an amazing artist that's all new to them. So, in turn, they buy his music, merchandise, and go to more shows, which then increases TR's revenue and increases his fan base and word of mouth spreads and that whole ball starts rolling. This is why it's not cool to scare away newbies from this board. At least give them a chance so they can invest. If we are the TR task force then we should help TR bring in more $$$. But what the hell do I know? |

That'd be Fluffy, and he doesn't have anything to do with booking really, so he won't really be able to help you. Someone in Blue Mountain is who you need to email, like Pam said. Not sure who, but you can probably find out pretty easily. |

Posted - 10/27/2005 : 4:46:00 PM Thats alright...I'll do some research. And i'll contact Blue Moutain. I think that a Canada show would be amazing. The radio stations here are great for supporting and advertising shows. Tim would have absolutely no problem filling a venue here. Although, on some occasions, rich pricks will go to shows just to go. They dont know anything about the artist, they just go and sit there. That happens alot here in Ottawa. People go to shows and sit there, no chearing, no applaus. They only really go cause they can afford it, or because they have nothing else to do that night. Which sucks for everyone else who wanted to go, but couldnt cause it sold out. But nah, i dont think there would be any issue with Tim. My efforts continue. |

Posted - 10/27/2005 : 4:06:41 PM Ok, first I apologize, I can't seem to find any infor. on Canadian shows, the only thing I found was talk of some from 2002 Chaosview. I was sure Tim went to Canada about a year ago, but I guess I was wrong. Sorry.
As for the agent, it would be Hugh Southard c/o Blue Mountain Artists, the email addy is on the home page under "contact us" (Interact?) also on TR side of board under New Booking Agent.
Like I said, I would get info. on one or two venues and send the information along with the requests to Hugh. We do have a number of Canadian fans on the board. I know some went to NY the other year to hear Tim play. I wish you the best of luck in your efforts, personally, I think it would be a shame not to get Tim to Canada! |

Posted - 10/27/2005 : 3:42:34 PM thanks alot. i appreciate it. I know alot of people interested, so any progress at all will make them happy. Ive sent one email already, but I'll send a couple more with venues. Who should i be emailing exactly? I think the last one i sent was to the Tour Manager. |

Posted - 10/27/2005 : 3:36:49 PM FYI Tim has been to Canada and not too long ago. I will try to look up the information for you. Jason is right about the booking agent. Keep emailing him to let him know you want Tim to come to your area. Suggest venues he might want to play at. I would even send him the email addresses to those venues if I were you.
Let me see if I can find out about past Canadian tours for you. |

Posted - 10/27/2005 : 1:31:31 PM yeah sounds good. I'll start my investigation as soon as possible. Because i know alot of people in Ottawa alone that would be seriously interested in seeing Tim. The only problem is that, alot of them cant afford to go to the STates to see him. Either they cant take time off work, or they dont have the money (or theyre pussy whipped). And on the rare occasion that T&D play, its usually only open to "Warehouse" members, which is BULLSHIT!!%&$&&$*! So Tim should definitely visit the nations capitol! |

Posted - 10/27/2005 : 11:07:04 AM Yeah, I like Canada too. Awesome.
Seems like they have a lot of grain towers, though. Weird.
As for TR in Canada, what you really need to do is contact his booking agent and let them know repeatedly that there are Canadian fans that would love to have TR come there. Email them, call them, whatever (don't stalk them you Kanuk), but make it known that there's a call for TR in the great white North. Chances are that eventually your request will be heard. Might be a while, but it's likely. |

This is useless information and has nothing to do with a TR show in your area because I'm not sure if he's been there or not. But, I've been to Toronto and it's an awesome place to visit. Niagra Falls, the casino near by, the CN Tower; all good stuff. I visited some of my Canadian friends up there a few years ago and they showed me a good time. We went to the craziest strip joint I've ever been to. It was wild! We wound up going back to one of the strippers apartments. Her and her pimp were acting crazy and I was getting a bit scared. Obviously, they were on some pretty harsh drugs. So we stayed, laughed at them for a while, and then left. After stopping at a gas station, I can't tell you how long it took for the cashier to understand me as I was trying to get a pack of smokes. He was Arab and I'm from AL so we needed a translater. It went on for about 5 minutes. Anyway, sorry to interrupt your thread. Just had to share. It was a good week. |
