Here is a post I wrote last night on the TR side of the board. Matt REALLY is so much fun to watch and listen to! Here's the post:

Well Matt, all I can say is WHY AREN'T YOU OPENING FOR MORE TIM SHOWS!!!!!! (Tim, Fluffy,Rew, hint, hint, hint!)

That was my very first thought as you began your set. Second thought,"damn I wish Kevin, Jason, Patrick, Jeff and everyone else from the board could hear this!"

Matt's style is very much like TIM's yet he has his own techniques that make him unique. His music complements TIM's so well that he is a perfect opening act for TIM. In fact after Matt completed his set, I really felt like listening to TIM play! How I wish I had been at the Ohio show last Saturday night!

I would urge everyone to buy Matts CD "A World Without Friction." The only thing wrong with the CD is that it's a CD and not a DVD, because you miss out on all the fun of watching him play!

I especially like Step Aside, Watermelon and Voices in My Head.

Matt, thanks for a really fun evening. Next TIMe I will be sure to bring a lot of people with me to hear you play! Oh and BTW, 1966, on the way home I kept thinking about that and it dawned on me it was probably the copyright date for the Beatles "Rain" that they cover on the album. When you mentioned that, it really through me for a loop! LOL Oh, and Jen, very nice meeting you too! Thanks for being so nice.

I am going to end this by plugging Matts website again www.mattwinn.com Thanks Matt for a great evening! BTW I am loving the CD!

Holy crap. Adam Fulara is insane. Somebody must have split his corpus callossum.

Here's another guy doing Bach(no, not the same piece as the ever-elusive TR bach piece) :

Try not to look at his face as he plays as you might have the same problem I was having.....I was wetting myself laughing at his "guitar face"

Look out Matt, new guy on the horizon and he uses "2" guitars. You would probably be better suited to say how hard OR simple what he is doing is as his style seems very similar to yours. LMK what you think!

Awesome! Can't wait for my son to see Matt too! He was supposed to go with me when I saw Matt in Philly, and was pretty bummed to have missed him. Now he will get to see both TR and Matt! Very Cool!

Probably cause it uses Realplayer (haven't been to the site cause Realplayer scares me)

To get realplayer you find it...somewhere, oh and it now comes with 25% more Adware [It does have adware if I remember, or I just don't remember anything...]

Damn, I wish I saw him at the show. I couldn't make it to that one and apparently I missed a great show.

Damn!!!

I haven't heard music from that 1 guy... is there a link anywhere? I can't locate a website.

Greg Howard indeed! That's one act I would kill to see before Tim. Still have yet to see Howard live, but I'm hopeful that I will one day.

But about That 1 Guy, he played a freakin' boot. That's one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I'd love to hear you Matt, but after seeing That 1 Guy I don't think I could ever see a more perfect opener for Tim.

I think the people that saw him will have to agree. I wish you could have seen him Pam! Simply amazing.
