Posted - 04/06/2005 : 2:11:28 PM Jeff Coffin is probably the best live sax player I have seen. His live shows are amazing and his records definately re-live that feel of his performances. His new record "Bloom" is amazing, but I still highly recommend seeing him live. April 21, The Canal Room, NY. A MUST SEE. Check out his site for other tour dates. http://www.jeffcoffin.com/ |

Posted - 04/06/2005 : 4:02:28 PM John Zorn...without a doubt. He is one of the best composers, especially in whatever not even definable way he is 20th century meets hardcore, meets klezmer, meets jazz, meets atonal, meets "and the list goes on.." Also i saw him with electric masada...this huge band, elec. bass and guitar, keys, 2 drummers, one electronic percussionist...and he was still louder than all of them, not just because of his mic either...he's just got a crazy huge sound. |
