I went to a Frank Vignola show on friday night at this small lounge. It was great, only about 30 people were there. Some of the most amazing jazz guitar I've ever seen live. He is the fastest jazz guitar player I know of.

Frank, let me be you, just for a day. Please.

AWESOME!! i'd love to see him. It is amazing how fast some of the gypsy guitarists play. A friend just gave me a bunch of gypsy jazz music including a couple of Franks CD's. Have u checked out Bireli Lagrene? He's another mind blower. He has a DVD out called Gypsy Project and Friends. A definite must have. I can't say enough about it. And what fantastic camera work. Lots of focus on the hands. Bireli (and friends) play so fast its mesmerizing, just like TR. My friend also showed me some old film footage on a video about Django he found at the public library. On it is a clip of Bireli, Jimmy Rosenburg and one other guitarist who we suspect is FV playing together in a park somewhere when they were kids. They looked like they couldn't be any older than 7 or 8 yrs old, no joke and they are mind boggling.
