My fiance and I are looking to book a cruise for our honeymoon. We want to go with Princess, and do the Eastern Carribean cruise.

Anyone been on one? I don't want to get screwed, so I'm wondering how much this should cost?

I've been on 2 cruises... both were a blast and a great value for the money (24 hour pizza bar is money). The second one, I even went scuba diving in Cozumel, which was absolutely amazing. I'm sure you will have a great time.

If you are worried about getting seasick, there are actually wristbands that you can buy that apply pressure on a specific point on your wrists... worked for me like a charm and they don't cause drowsiness like dramamine.

Actually, I forgot to mention the best part about our honeymoon to Mexico. The ringworm - or what I thought was ringworm. Normal ringworm will go away with a cream. 6 weeks of cream, 3 areas of ringworm remain. Well, if the cream doesn't work, oral antifungal medication is almost 100% effective. 2 weeks of oral medication - still have "ringowrm." Now I'm waiting to hear back from my doc after he took a biopsy of my insane mexican infection...enjoy the cruise.

I'm looking forward to the cruise. My sister and bro in law went on one for their honeymoom with Princess and they rave about it. I think I'd have to get paid to set foot in Mexico, resort or not.

Yeah - my wife (though she wasn't my wife at the time) and I went on a cruise last February. We went with Carnival 'cause it was cheap - but you end up paying about 1500-2000 bucks when all is said and done. I'm assuming if you're going on a honeymoon, you'll spring for a nicer room.

I offer my 2 cents...an all-inclusive resort in mexico is going to cost about the same as a cruise in the end - airfare included most times - plus, no waves, sea-sickness, boatwide diarrhea from contaminated water, or canceled trips to shore because of bad weather (we missed 3 ports out of five because of high seas). We just went to Cabo San Lucas for our honeymoon in October and it was sweet and nicely priced (you pay before you go, so drinking like a friggin fish is even sweeter since it's already paid for!!) We got it all for 2800 bucks (airfare, hotel for 7 nights, all meals and alcohol, room service, etc). Man, that was way more than 2 cents...more like 18 or 20 cents. Sorry.

I did a three-day cruise once and the "cheap" price was $649 or something like that. For a nice week-long one, you're looking at a couple of thousand I'm guessing.

The summer before I left home for college my parents wanted us to take a "last" family vacation. We go on this cruise, and I had a wicked sinus infection and a fever of 103. So, I spent the days lying in bed watching the TV in the cabin. On this particular cruise they had a "movie channel". Which was basically one movie over and over. The film happened to be "Good Advice" starring Charlie Sheen. I dazed in and out of consciousness watching that movie for an entire day. It sucked. My parents had fun though.

Haha....same here. I think I was in 7th grade when I went on the Big Red Boat. I just wish I could remember more of the trip. Stupid lack of long term memory.

My boss was just on that exact cruise twice this year and he said it was awesome, and he's a picky old fucker.

I've been on one, but I didn't pay, so I can't help you from getting screwed in that regard. Good times.
