Posted - 06/20/2006 : 9:58:53 PM That's awesome, personally I liked the castle better, more color and better color.
I love summer vacation and having time to read these kinds of threads. Thanks for the fun, Fluffy! |

Posted - 12/18/2004 : 3:57:15 PM Dizzy ain't a bad way to be, remember as kids we set out to make ourselves dizzy, and we had FUN doing it. I still equate this as our innate desire to alter or change our perception and as evidence of why we will never win a "war on drugs" because this behavior is an innate behavior we have from a the very beginning. When we are young we don't know what drugs are but we find out very quickly that spinning very fast or riding fast spinning rides or merrygorounds give us a different kind of feeling than our waking state. Those of us who like it strive to do it again and again and find other ways of altering our perception of the world even if only temporarily. Maybe when you stop kids from wanting to spin, you will be closer to stopping people from wanting to take drugs. Gee, sorry, this was a little off topic. I got wrapped up in one of my little tangents. SORRY |

Posted - 12/15/2004 : 7:23:46 PM These are great! Nice few minutes of entertainment! I loved the stairs picture. I didn't think that one was going to work for me and just when I was about to give up, it went upside down! Weird! |

Some of my faves from this page:
http://www.ebaumsworld.com/eyetest.html
The above one does not work for me, I wonder why? LOL
http://www.ebaumsworld.com/greenwave.html
The above one entitled greenwave would appear to be animated. Although if you just stare at one of the little nut like things in the center of the pic you will see that if you don't move your eyes around the photo it is actually NOT MOVING. Pretty amazing!

This is the best optical illusion I've ever seen No one believes it. I bet YOU don't even believe it.
So here's the proof:

Posted - 12/15/2004 : 4:36:49 PM Those are great as well Fluffy. Couldn't get the one in the link to work for me though, I didn't see any circles. I'll try it later though. |

In this illustration, the stairs should turn upside down during a steady gaze. The wall with the floating glass sphere will shift from the foreground to the background. Of course, if you originally saw the background as the foreground, you will notice a change from the background to the foreground. |

This one needs a white background so it can't be posted on our board and work, but check it out.
So does this one:
http://www.torinfo.com/illusion/illus-16.html
They say stare for 45 secs, I have found I can actually glance for a second and quickly shift my eyes with a quick blink and see the reverse image in the white box for a split second. Does that make me WEIRD? LOL pretty kewl |

Are these two line the same size?
The arrowheads are what causes the confusion. If you use a ruler you will see that the lines are the exact same size. |

Do you think that these lines are parallel? They are! But it doesn't look like it does it? We suppose that's what makes it an illusion!!!

Posted - 12/15/2004 : 3:19:53 PM Arthen, I just opened this in ImageReady and its only one frame... so no animation.
Weird.

Posted - 12/14/2004 : 8:12:11 PM I'd seen this a while back, still trippy. I still maintain that some parts of it are moving! Why else would it be a GIF and not a JPEG? |
