Wow it's been awhile since i've posted. I was kidnapped by TIM's space aliens for research purposes, but when i asked for their blessing of magical guitar-playing talent they gave me an anal probe and said all i was good for was playing Green Day and Nirvana songs.

Anyway, I know there were a few of you who discovered Kaki like I did last year when she opened for TIM on a few dates. Anyone check out her new album? I got it the other day and it's fantastic.

She came to my town a few weeks ago and i was mesmerized. If you're familiar with her first album, her new material includes more music in that similar vein as well as some pedal steel guitar and a few other instruments, as well as a bit of singing from her.

She also made a big change because she signed onto a major label (Epic i think), which I hope doesn't hinder her in any way. We'll see i guess. Go to www.kakiking.com and check out her video "Playing With Pink Noise."

Check it out.

Yeah, I got a promo of it from work, and I've listened to it twice, but nothing really struck me as being great... although there was one song that reminded me a bit of Chris Whitley... I'll have to listen again and see which song that was.
