I think at this point MTV is only running a 2nd season of her show because they want people to be able to see the behind the scenes of her downfall from her 15 minutes of fame. They are actually promoting the show showing backstage footage of the SNL thing. The 2nd season starts tonight, and its like a car wreck, I don't want to look but I can't look away.

there's nothing wrong with yelling into a microphone. as long as you're not trying to sing, anyway.

maybe it's possible to boo someone out of life.
Jimiforrest Posted - 01/05/2005 : 11:43:18 PM
She got BOOED at the USC game. She actually was singing along with a backing track, and it was throwing my perfect pitch for all sorts of loops, she sucks. Her last line was a teenage induced croak with the barely recognizable word "scream" at the beginning of it. Then she got booed, loudly. Either they hated her singing/music, or hated her, either way I was so damn happy.

One artist pwned by AutoTune, fuckmillion more to go.

Plastic surgeon claims responsibility for Ashlee Simpson lip sync disaster

NEW YORK – Dr. Jonelson Smith, the famed British plastic surgeon who performed rhinoplasty and eye enlargement on Ashlee Simpson, revealed today that while Ashlee Simpson was under the knife, he accidentally removed her talent.

"There was a small, hard nodule on the inside of Ashlee's left nostril," said Dr. Smith. "It looked incidental so I removed it during the re-sculpturing of her nose. It was only after her vocals disaster on Saturday Night Live that I realized the tiny growth must have been where her talent resided."

Ashlee Simpson, whose pop star career came to a grinding halt after a recent airing of Saturday Night Live where she was unable to sing without the aid of pre-recorded audio, announced plans to sue Dr. Smith in hopes that her talent can somehow be recovered and replaced.

"My fans have been soooo understanding," chirped Simpson to reporters, "and my new best friends, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, have offered to donate some of their talent to me, but I don't think they have enough to spare."

After struggling to find an excuse for her missing ability to sing on Saturday Night Live, Ashlee first blamed her band in a clear, non-croaky voice, then her record company, then her sound engineer for cueing up the wrong song, and then her hectic travel schedule, and then Simpson's father reported that her need for a guide vocal was a result of "swollen vocals chords" caused by "acid refulx." Then, a phone call came to her from Dr. Smith confirming himself as the person ultimately responsible for her missing talent.

"I really feel badly about this surgical error," said Dr. Smith, "but it was such a tiny speck…I couldn't have known what it represented at that time."

Because Ashlee Simpson's rhinoplasty occurred over six months ago, Dr. Smith expressed doubt that Simpson's removed nasal nodule can ever be recovered. He explained that he had been on the phone with many of his celebrity patients, and he reports that Ashlee Simpson's suit has started an avalanche of litigation against him.

"Madonna and Ben Affleck are now claiming that I may have inadvertently removed their acting talent during their rhinoplasty," said Dr. Smith. "This is turning into a career nightmare for me, but I must be honorable and accept the consequences of my actions."

Ashlee Simpson, clearly upset that her trust in Dr. Smith's skills were misplaced, told reporters that she wished she had never tried to "Barbie up" her appearance.

"Now I understand why Barbra Streisand never had a nose job," Ashlee said. "Boy, was she ever smart."

i'm actually not pleased. before all of this she was just a flash in the pan that no one will remember or care about 10 years down the line. her impact in the art was nonexistant. but now she might be remembered for failing so much. i'd prefer it if she just disappeared and everyone forgot about her.

As if things couldn't get worse, she got booed off the stage at the Orange Bowl last night.

cervantes throws are my favorite. like when he impales you on his swords, lifts you up and slams your on your back. or out of the ring. or agaisnt a wall.
guitarted Posted - 10/27/2004 : 9:08:34 PM
tekken definetly has button mashing characters its true. But some of them are way beyond that

EDDIE - XOXOXOXOXO and you'll win no prob

HWOARANG - XXXX or OOOO and you'll drive your friends nuts

Soul Calibur 2 was kinda cool for its weapon selection system, but you basically end up using the normal weapon anyway. You can button mash with guys like Raphael and win no problem.

Tekken and SC2 feel pretty similar to me, i prefer tekken because NO WEAPONS. The hand to hand stuff looks cooler i think.

However, SC2 does have some AWESOME throws
JoeGamo05 Posted - 10/27/2004 : 7:55:21 PM
tekken isn't button mashing take that back lol i got to tournaments for tekken so yeah i'm quite into the game... i love em' can't wait for tekken 5!!! got san andreas to which is to much fun

i never cared for tekken, either. it's mostly button mashing, and a lot of these movies take out so much health it's absurd. i'm waiting for the next one to come out where if you hit a 21 button combo the system actually grows a leg and kicks you in the jaw.

Cake is great. I'll have to check the tour dates.

I think they are one of the only decent things the Sacramento area has contributed. My home area is kind of crap in music.

Cool! They were getting very popular in Sacramento when I lived there. Did they play "How Do You Afford Your Rock 'n' Roll Lifestyle?"

The acid reflux was an issue brought up on her show by a doctor. I still think it is bullshit because she simply can not sing.

Well, now she is a FLIP FLOPPER!!! She is changing her story. Now she says that she had "severe acid reflux" which caused her to lose her voice, and she said that it was the first time she had to use a vocal track... RIGHT, whatever Ashlee... why then did you blame it on the band on Saturday????
guitarted Posted - 10/26/2004 : 01:12:53 AM
are we forgetting the tekken series here?
though it is a little absurd with some of its characters. No blood though. Tag Tournament is absolutely sick.

Perhaps they should make a fighting game that includes Ashlee Simpson. Her move 'THE HOEDOWN' can be a one hit kill, to her own career.
dan p. Posted - 10/26/2004 : 12:33:13 AM
joey, man, i did not follow one single word of that last post. except the mortal kombat part. i'm not much on fighting games (except soul calibur 2) because it kind of seems like, especially with mortal kombat, they're just not going anywhere with it. they keep adding new characters, and maybe some new moves and boards, but it all feels like the first one. i like soul calibur 2 because it's brutal without being absurd. and it manages to be brutal with no blood. you have a whole lot of weapons and some (very) basic enviornment interactions. on a side now, a lot of the throw moves for characters like sophitia and seung mina are. . .uh. . .interesting.
JoeGamo05 Posted - 10/25/2004 : 10:35:22 PM
lol... money.... i think thats what defines a musician and his "ability" though ya know? i'm sure if dmb, TR, all the other greats out there they could do a quick adjust ya know or improv to it.... sigh at least thats one less teen singer we have to worry about... so whos next?? lol. More importantly, any of you have mortal kombat deception? this game is bad ass online lol

The Truth
10/24/2004 5:53:35 PM - by barenkla

From Lucky Magazine interview:

LM: What are your takes on lip-synching?

AS: I'm totally against it and offended by it. I'm going out to let my real talent show, not to just stand there and dance around. Personally, I'd never lip-synch. It's just not me.

...operative word being "almost," which makes that one of the funniest and most gratifying things I've seen in a long time.

Ok Kevin since you saw this I must know.. did she come back on stage, or just walk off an leave it at that?

think about this. she sucks. we knew this before. now add onto that, she's not even one doing it. she's so awful, she has to lip synco to be bad.

I'm not sure if they were even playing. It looked like they were, but I know that when some artists lip synch, it sounds as if they're band is just playing along to a tape as well.

What I find to be the most amusing part of this whole thing, is that I read an article about her and she denounced lip-syncing and said she would never ever do it- so she's a liar in addition to not being able to sing.

Nothing like seeing someone who thinks she's wonderful be mortified on live television! Priceless I tell ya, Priceless.
Zachmozach Posted - 10/24/2004 : 3:11:56 PM

Wow, that is really fantastic... but did she finish? Ot just walk off the stage wondering why she can't be more like her sister?
GuitarGuy305 Posted - 10/24/2004 : 10:44:46 AM
I love how she then tries to cover up. "My band starting playing the wrong song..."

So....tell them to play a different one dumbass. It was obvious her band wasn't even playing that shit.

If Tim was playing with TR3, and they started playing Indoctrinate when they were supposed to be playing Bleed Green, Tim would be like "Houston, Johnny, Bleed Green!" He would just do a gay ass dance and walk offstage. If they hadn't played Indoctrinate yet that set, he would probably just go with it.

ROFL!!! I hope this is on the next season of the Ashlee Simpson show...if there IS one. MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
