Ahhhhh! I just wrote out a more detailed post, and then my cat jumped on my keyboard somehow erasing it! In short though... I currently live in Orlando 
I think I will try to rewrite once I am not so frustrated!! Happy to hear that all is well with you though Kaitlyn. |

Kaitlyn, sorry to hear about your roof, hopefully some insurance $ will pay for a new one. Glad you could "play" in the rain before it got bad. Now that's having a positive attitude! LOL
I assume Sorrel is OK too as she has posted on here since the storm hit. Now we are getting the left-overs of Jeanne, pouring rain! Small potatoes compared to what you all experienced but a pain just the same.

we made it through alright, our roof is way damaged, but we needed a new one anyways.
oh and i played out in the rain before it got too bad, that was fun

Good luck to everyone down there...when I tell people I'm from Florida up here (boston) the first thing they say is, got out just in time, which I guess is true, but it's hard being so far away from loved ones and not know what's going on down there. Watching the latest on CNN and it looks terrible in Melbourne, not too far from Orlando. Sorrell, and everyone down there, I'm thinking about you, I remember how weird it was in Orlando during Charlie, it was like a ghost town...crazy stuff |

Yep... this certainly sucks! For now my household and I are sticking it out. My grandmother lives in the same city as Turn It To Love, and her and some of her friends are possibly staying with me... and then we will head north if need be.... Woo-hoo! Talk about a great hurricane party that would be!
Really though... at this point, i am numb... I went out today just like any other only to find that all stores are closed in preparation... roads are empty with the exception of gas stations and supply stores.
What I am finding to be the most stressful now is the constant cancelation of school.... I know, sounds like a blessing... but my assignments keep getting pushed back further and further. It seems that by the end of the semester I am going to be slammed!
However,.. as you can see... I still have my power... and my bartender roommate is seeing to it that my boyfriend and I are not too concerned about... well... anything...
Thanks every though... this has been a VERY hard time for a lot of people... every bit of support helps dramatically. |

Kaitlyn, sorry to hear this is happening to you again! I simply can't imagine going through that over and over again. Best of luck to you, Sorrel and everyone else in Florida!
Once again, I will be anxious to see you post after the hurricane goes through. |

it's hurrican season. i've always wanted to be in one, but i'd imagine that would change if i was. good luck with the evacuation and return. hopefully with all your stuff in tact. |

I hope all goes well for you and your family. I am also in Florida, but, I am actually staying until there's the forced evac... yep, smart right? Where do you live in FL? Were you ok in Charly? I am still dealing with a missing roof, job, and other things from that one. Seriously... Mother Nature is kind of being a bitch.
Again though... Stay safe... many prayers and vibes to you and your family. If nothing else Board-Support... pray that the gas stations get more gas. A lot of evacuating people are pulling their cars to the road side since they couldn't refil. It's a nightmare here. |
