michael moore can sometimes be vaguely humorous.
Arthen Posted - 08/15/2004 : 11:06:36 PM
He was obviously trying to make money.

Don't feel bad for him, he made his own choices.
Zachmozach Posted - 08/15/2004 : 10:48:00 PM
Still I admit that I liked his last film. He was obviously trying to make a point with it, but I agree with the points made so that helps. It made me laugh though a few times. I still feel bad for the guy though. I mean to me it's just a huge loss of credibility to support Kerry amongst other things.

As if that list wasn't long enough.

another reason to disregard him.

Ya Micheal Moore is most definitely a democrat. How else could he make a movie blasting the war then turn around and support a candidate who voted for it? It's his ties to the party.
Arthen Posted - 08/14/2004 : 9:32:40 PM
Michael Moore said he was an independent, and he's a registered democrat in NY.
dan p. Posted - 08/14/2004 : 9:02:43 PM
ah. see, that i agree with. i'm not really up on what we've been doing over there intentionally. all i understood is that iraq is in shambles and leaving wouldn't do any good.
Zachmozach Posted - 08/14/2004 : 8:17:14 PM
First I was just saying that people use certain things to get a message across whether you think it's propaganda or not is up to you. Like Moore showed some pretty sick stuff to show what's going on there and this guy is showing some sick stuff as well. The difference to me though is that this guy is pointing this out as a reason to kill more people. That's what was sick to me. So to answer your question, yes because I completely disagree with trying to build up a reason to kill people. I just don't like it.

Then I guess I should have rephrased what I said because what I mean is that we should end the occupation. We owe Iraq a lot for this war and to just bomb them and then say fuck you would be bad. What I mean is that what the US has done since the invasion hasn't been about the Iraqi people as much as it's been about securing economic gain. The US went in and said ok your economy is now open for foreign investment and we are going to appoint a government while refusing elections and get things set up our way. So every aspect of their major industries is being completely controlled and rebuilt by the US and the contracts went to US companies as well.

Basically I was all for giving Iraq it's own sovernty but it just hasn't happened. If the Iraqi people had been allowed to control their own destiny then we wouldn't be seeing the extended conflict in near the form we have now. Iraq isn't a democracy as it's had no elections. It still couldn't tell the US to leave even if it wanted to. Iraq also can't say that they are taking back their industry from the privitization and foreign investment. So just let them take back their country and let them be in command and tell us whether or not we can have military bases there. However the government the US installed isn't going to do that nor does it represent the Iraqi people. I don't think our government does a good job of representing us but at least we got to elect them. They haven't and won't for a while until things are under enough control and the laws are written.

i don't understand. you're saying that the propaganda tatics that savage used to get his message across were wrong, but the exact same tatics used by moore to get his message across are ok? just because you agree with the message doesn't mean you have to agree with the way it's given.

i also don't understand why you want us to get out. feel free to correct any errors i make here, seeing as i don't know all that much about and it's obvious you're at least a little more informed. but are you suggesting that after going in there, bombing the jesus out of everything, overthrowing their government and turning everything they know into rubble and chaos, we just leave? to me, that's the cruelest thing you can do. true we shouldn't have done it, but we did, and now you just want us to pack it up and leave it to it's fate. it's the same as lighting someone's house on fire, saying you shouldn't have done it, and that you shouldn't be there and leave the family to burn. how dreadful.

The thing that bugged me the most on this page was that he had links to the videos of people being beheaded. Basically this guy is supportive of the war and the only reason I can see for him putting up that stuff is to enrage people. So in lamest terms... Look at these guys that got killed and see how bad that is. We must now continue this war and occupation so that many more people may die. I mean sure micheal moore showed some sick stuff in 9/11 to hopefully enrage people, but the idea was to end the war and the fighting. Why would anyone do that to propel violence?

Let's just analyze some items on his front page...

Bush: America better off with his leadership
(CNN) President Bush said Thursday that America is "absolutely" better off today than it was four years ago -- on both the national security and domestic fronts. "The world's safer. ... Libya's no longer a threat. Pakistan is an ally in the war on terror," Bush said in an exclusive interview on CNN's "Larry King Live."

Uhm, yeah. We are "absolutely" better off today than four years ago? What brand of glue is he sniffing?

Kerry's Controversial War Record - Another Story Fox News Won't Cover
(MICHAELSAVAGE.COM) I am an Independent. I am not a registered Republican, nor a registered Democrat.

O'Reilly said the same "I'm independant" thing, had nothing to say when records showed he was actually a registered republican. Michael Savage is most definitely a republican. No mention of Bush's controversial Texas National Guard record? Takes a lot of balls for someone like Bush and Cheney to try to discredit Kerry's actions in Viet Nam when they didn't have the balls to go. The veterans they keep finding to talk bad about Kerry we're just veterans of Viet Nam. A lot of them had little to no interaction with Kerry. However, the men that were on Kerry's swift boat all unite behind him. A lot of veterans will be angry with Kerry because of his anti-war actions after he left. And I think it's just crazy he lambasts Fox for not covering the story. Fox News is the tool of the republican, if this story had merit they would definitely blow it out of proportion.

9/11 COMMISSION IS A GIANT WHITEWASH
No names were named. The commission should be indicted for a conspiracy to delude the American people. For example, We the People demand to know the name of the Lawyer inside FBI Headquarters who turned down the request from the FBI Field Office in Minneapolis to search Moussaoui's apartment. This terrorist was taking flight lessons in Minneapolis and his actions were picked up by a sharp agent in that region. Yet, the agent's request to investigate further was blocked in Washington. We don't know by whom! The Whitewash Committee has not released this culprit's name. We now have a government Of the Government, By the Government, and For the Government. It is a dictatorship. We the people do not have any adequate representation at this time.

Shouldn't the Bush administration be indicted for a conspiracy to delude the American people?
