August 22nd (the day after Tim): David Byrne September 12th: Bobby McFerrin September 21st: John Prine October 8th: Branford Marsalis October 10th: Gillian Welch Nov 2: The President's Own United States Marine Band (even if you don't like the current Commander in Chief, the band is talented) November 11th: Jake Shimbabukuro (Ukulele virtuoso), Mike Marshall and Darol Anger November 13th: Angelique Kidjo February 14th: Nanci Griffith February 27th: Miro Quartet March 3rd: Habib Koite and Bamada March 9th-12th: Huge Bach Festival May 10th: RAVI SHANKAR!!!!!!! Accompanied by his daughter Anoushka (Who canceled her show last year) May 12th: R. Carlos Nakai (Native American Musician) and Keola Beamer (Hawaiian slack key guitarist)

Posted - 08/09/2004 : 4:57:10 PM WTF that is a ing awesome lineup of shows. Bobby McFerrin, Branford Marsalis, Jake Shimbabukuro (Ukulele virtuoso), Mike Marshall and Darol Anger (Jake guested with the Flecktones recently and he kicked ass), a bach festival and Ravi Shankar! So many of those acts would be up in my top twenty of shows I want to see. What school is this? Someone knows what's up when they are booking shows. |
