Yeah so uh, I'm home from school today. I'm coughing up a storm over here...It started after my friend Heather brought me home from the thrift store...I've never been this drained in my life. It sucks. My nurse at school basically told me that I wasn't sick and that the only reason why she was letting me go home was that I had never asked to go home before and that she trusted that there "must be something wrong..." So I'm home...really really beat...I can hardly move a muscle. Have you ever coughed and sneezed at the same time? Neither have I, but I've come very close about ten times since 7 this morning. But I guess since I don't have a fever that I'm not really sick and am just a giant hypochondriac. I don't like school nurses. But I had a Spanish group project due today, and my group gave it to ME to finish over the weekend. Because I was so sick, I only got half of it done, but since the class is 9th period I was just gonna finish it in school. Well, I had to leave really early and couldn't pass what I had done on too another member of my group, so I screwed them over. So they'll be pissed. God dammit I hate being sick. Help.

I've been home for three days...Is it bad that every part of my body feels like it's been beaten with a bat? It feels like a large German fellow named "Horst" beat the small of my back with a folding chair. I can hardly walk...God Dammit. But hey, this IS the last week before winter break...Looks like someone is getting a little extra time off (albeit he can't even fucking get out of bed.)

What sucks even more is that I HAVE to go to school tomorrowor risk losing a grade on my history report, which, incidentally, I have to write tonight. I also have to finish that spanish thing, and make two drawings for art class.

Jay, I know exactly how you feel man. I'm not one that usually gets sick, and if I do, then I take a packet of theraflu and go to bed early, and I'll be fine the next day or two. BUT For the past month, or maybe even 5 weeks, I've had this "super flu" that everyone seems to have. It's pretty much gone now except for a bunch of crap in the back of my throat that wont go away. I think the reason it lasted so long was because I never had just a whole or two to stay in bed, because I couldn't miss school, and I've only called into work sick once in my life, its just something I don't like doing... so I think my lack of rest contributed to my sickness. In other words, be sure to take it easy!

You have to be hot or bleeding to get out of class usually.

I hope you feel better soon, Jay! I don't know why nurses use temperature as the factor to decide if someone goes home or not. I watched lots of kids suffer in class because the nurse didn't think they were sick. Viruses don't always cause a fever.

Sounds like you could be coming down with the flu. As for the Spanish project, why do they do so many group things anyway? I always hated them. Nothing you can do about it, you are sick, they will just have to deal with it.

Remember good old nyquil! Feel better Jay!
