Posted - 09/23/2003 : 03:31:26 AM OK, I'll be the first to admit that I am no fan of Hip Hop, and with the exception of the Roots, and Public Enemy, I don't think I own any rap cds, but I listened to the new Outkast cd at work monday night and it is just all kinds of funky and original. An awesome cd that I will eventually end up buying for sure. There is everything from Jazz, to dance to straight up gangsta rap on there, and it sounds very good. I was completely surprised and blown away. |

Posted - 09/23/2003 : 09:26:14 AM i'm not too surprised with outkast being funky. The guy who plays sax for oteil bubridge and the peacemakers used to do some recordings with outkast, and outkast has never seemed to really fit the crappy norm that mainstream rap is today.
good deal tho! |
