I played American IV in the store the morning he died, and I found it very sad to listen to. We have been selling lots of those cds along with The live Folsom Prison cd. Warren Zevon's "The Wind" which was released just one week before he died (and which he wrote while terminally ill) has seen an increase in sales too. I think it is somewhat unfortunate that it takes the death of an artist to really peak consumer interest.

Charles Bronson died recently, too. That's also sad.

Marty Robbins said, "If there is a god, he sings like Johnny Cash."

Jay, when I heard the news of Johnny's passing you were the first person I thought of. His music surly made its imprint on the lives of so many of us and we are forever better because of it.

do you reckon he's falling through a ring of fire now?

At least he and June are together again.

The whole world will miss you.

I kinda expected Johnny Cash to pass sometime soon...he didn't look to good in his new video. But Ritter? That's a complete shocker.

RIP

RIP Johnny. Wesely Willis last month, Warren Zevon last week, now Johnny Cash. This has been a rough time for music fans. I also noticed that John Ritter died too, he was very young.
