Posted - 07/02/2003 : 4:05:48 PM I'm sure most of you know where I work... No big secret but I won't get back into it now... I'm moved up (more like laterally, but I won't get into that either) to where I'm now logging in samples and whatnot. The other day I had a few samples from Flourissant, MO.
Yeah, no big deal really, just that that's where Tim once lived or something, and wrote a song about. Thought it was neat.
Also, today I had a few samples that were confiscated on April 20 of this year. I guess a few people will get that too, and see the humor in it...

Posted - 07/09/2003 : 2:30:46 PM hmmm, I just got curious as to if anything cool happened on my birthday, and I noticed two funny things, first of all, in the events section, the last entry if from 1981, the year I was born, meaning NOTHING of importance has happened since I was born. Second, Prince Albert's name appears, and that is just funny hehe

Posted - 07/07/2003 : 06:56:28 AM speaking of 420, this band i know, makia groove, has a song called 420. The song is split up into all these different polyrythms, like the drummer is playing in 7/8, the guitarist in 3/4, bassist in 5/8, etc... I don't know what it is specifically, but they all meet back at the same downbeat after exactly 420 beats! And they didn't plan it out either, it just happened that way! And it's funny too, cause they're a jam band, with a song named 420, very...original!? |

Posted - 07/06/2003 : 5:16:11 PM My parents anniversary is April 1st. You have to see the irony in that. Truth be told, alot of folks didn't show up for the wedding as they thought it was an April Fools Day joke. Thats great planning if you want to invite alot of people and you really can't afford to. You can count on a good % not showing up. HEHE |

Posted - 07/05/2003 : 10:43:06 AM Hey Kevin, thanks for the list! I never realized all that happened on 4/20. Some very interesting, very honorable people were born on that day, which makes me less bummed that is was Hitlers birthday.
As for you Jason, it was a long time ago, our wedding, but I think we picked it because of how it fit in with Easter/Spring breaks that year. It wasn't good Friday, but was a Friday. We had a candle lit wedding, very pretty, very romantic. My husband is from Michigan so his sisters, who were teachers, and neices and nephews who were in school, were able to make it out on that date. Since it was a Friday, it gave them 2 days to get back home. We were married in New Jersey.

Hey, that was my anniversary! Oh yeah and National Pot Smoking Day and Hitler's birthday and the anniversary of Columbine! So many lovely things happening on my anniversary none of which had a thing to do with why we picked that day!
But yes, that is funny |
