Got my new bass, and it is a dream!! Wow, has some great sound, and i just now read what all the knobs do, so it'll sound even better nexy time i play it. The body is kind of curved, so it feels like the strings are farther away from the body than my other bass. It feels like the bass was built for slapping tho, great string spacing, and a nice slap tone. Tapping on it is good, no fret buzzing anywhere, even sounds good tapping on the 24th fret(which is a little hard to reach fingerstyle, but i can still manage). I'm still getting used to it, so it feels a little awkward still, but the playability of it is grrreat! It's supposed to be a heavier bass than most, but i don't feel much of a difference, probably cause i'm used to playing a 6 string bass, and that's heavy as well..
I love it tho, i can't wait to gig some with it! Now on to practice some wooten techniques!

So far i've played a few gigs with my bass. I just found out it has active pick-ups, and they are swweeet! The tone is great, and it's a really reliable bass. I can tell it's startin' to wear a bit, but that means i probably need to wax it soon.

Still is a great bass tho!

lol on the picture of Booger... I just watched Revenge of the Nerds the other night, my roomate bought a dvd with 1 and 2 on the same disc.

By the way, back to the original topic (oh my god! a reverse digression!!!) that's a sweet bass man, when I was a freshman in the dorms I think every single room had at least one guitar in it.

thank you...one day i'll figure out how to do that

Why not now? All you do is take a picture,

1 - Right click on the pic, and scroll down to 'properties'

2 - Find the label "Address (URL)" and copy that whole line. For example, doing that on the bass picture gets you this
http://www.warwickbass.com/images/thumbbo4.jpg

3 - Take that, and then make a reply. Up on the label "Format," go to the right and find the 'insert image' icon. Click it.

4 - Take the Address (URL) and put it in the brakets -

The whole past year was my first in college, I had so much free time I got incredibly better on the guitar. Just keep playing and you'll notice a lot of improvement.
bizarroeric Posted - 07/01/2003 : 6:28:58 PM
That sure is purty. I wish I knew how to play the bass. Bass players always look so chill.
