So Patrick, what will you be doing in San Fran this summer? Where will you be living? Inquiring minds want to know!

I live in San Rafael...when you get into town let me know

No. Machines do that. Maybe if I was Superman. Of course, if I was Superman, I wouldn't have an internship in the first place. I'd be saving people's lives and getting it on with Lois Lane..........so no. I won't be laying any pipe.

Yes, but will you actually get to lay any pipe?

Oh really? And who exactly are these inquiring minds? Hehe..

But seriously, it isn't exactly finalized yet, but my official position will be Civil Design Assistant. And I will: Assist with the preparation of pipeline projects, gathering field data for design work, assist in the utility search, potholing process, fire dept. contacts and misc. work. Office work.

It's at the Marin Municipal Water District in Marin County (duh). In case you're wondering where that is, it's just to the north of San Fransisco (the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge). The place is essentially a smaller Department of Water and Power. I'll be living with my dad and step-mom which is a mere 3 or 4 miles away from the place.
