Had a bigtime computer crash...fried the motherboard and hard drives (losing about 60gb worth of music (sigh) and am now doing a fresh install of Win2k (without smartdrive) holy fuck is it ever taking forever.. Even though I'm running a P4 1.5ghz, I think my cdrom drive is going at 1 or 2x Ugh... Had to vent :)

I dunno if it still works with win2k but if at all possible whenever I install and OS i'll copy the CD to the hard drive first and then install it from there. Its also handy because from then on if it needs the CD for a driver or something it knows where to get it without prompting you.
