Spud won the competition much earlier than 98... early 90s or late eighties sounds right.

i think mugsy bogues was the shortest player
but spud web wasent much taller
and he wont the dunk competition in 98? or somewhere around there
he was only like 5'6"

The shortest player I've heard of was Spud Webb, but I think he was like 5'5" which is almost four inches taller than me. I'd love to be that tall!

Teri some of the best 3 point shooters in the nba and ncaa aren't much taller than you! I absolutely love basketball. WATCHING it! March madness and nba playoffs are my favorite times of the year besides the autumn harvest. My friends continually raze me about just watching because of the men with great bodies in shorts but I really do enjoy the game itself.

I've tried before, but I'm only 5'1-1/4" so I decided to be a marathoner instead...

Me and Capt. P saw our teachers play agianst the seniors a few weeks ago. It was hysterical...but no, I don't, and will never, play basketball.

YAY! My school's team won its first round tourny game last night, which means two more wins and we get an automatic bid into the 64 brackets.

I don't play basketball, never have, but I sat next to JJ Redick of Duke in school... he is, or at least was, the leading 3 point shooter in the nation. So nope, don't play basketball, not a bit.

I played throughout High School on the team. I miss playing competetvely now. Every once in a while I'll play a pickup game at the gym or on the playgound, but I am always dissapointed in my performance because I am out of shape compared to when I was on the team. I have almost no conditioning now. Rebounding is my favorite part of the game... nothing more satisfying than boxing someone out and using technique to outrebound them. I loved sacrificing my body too... as I LOVED to take charges... dive after loose balls etc...

I used to be until I shattered my elbow. But I do play hockey and football.
