Posted - 01/27/2003 : 6:22:11 PM ... and realized I have a bunch of old (new) DMB posters. If anyone wants to get one let me know... they're some insane size, like 5 feet tall by 3 1/2 feet wide. It's a long story as to why I spent $300 on oversized DMB posters only to get stuck with them in my closet... but if anyone wants to donate to the "Jeff's failed business ventures fund" just let me know. |

Posted - 01/27/2003 : 6:51:41 PM Sorry, but in the wild world that is my busy life, I have failed you and not sent it yet. It is sitting right here next to my computer and I look at it constantly and will miss him badly when he is gone, so it is good to know that he is going to a good home with a clean closet. Although he better not end up in your closet HEHE. |

Posted - 01/27/2003 : 6:47:58 PM Ooh ooh Fluffy did you send it? I've soiled myself several times in anticipation. I sent you an email a while back thanking you profusely that had my address in it... did you get it? Let me see if I can find a place to host the pictures and I'll post them now if I can. |

Posted - 01/27/2003 : 6:44:56 PM HA! Ebay is the reason I am stuck with them. The short version goes like this:
I noticed a particular poster selling on ebay for a bit over $50 a couple of years ago. Seeing that I knew of a place in Athens to get the exact same poster for $15, I figured I'd make a couple of dollars for myself getting rid of them on ebay. Utterly proud of what was sure to be a very lucrative venture, I put the first batch of posters up... the bids got up to something crazy like $60 a piece, and the day before the auctions were to end, ebay cancelled my auctions. Turns out that the oversized ones aren't actually licensed by DMB and at that moment they decided to crack down on that stuff being sold on ebay. I tried all sorts of tricky ways of wording auctions after that to try and get around it, but they still cancelled them anyway. So what was supposed to be a $1000 payday turned into a total sunk cost.
Unfortunately there's no TR on them... one kind is a giant b&w close up of Dave playing his Chet... and the other is a giant color close up of Dave playing his Chet against a green background. |

Posted - 01/27/2003 : 6:33:56 PM ebay my friend, ebay!!!
Do any of them have TR on them? I might be interested to add that to my TR portfolio of memerobilia.
PS: now that you have cleaned out you closet you might have room for a (Silky the)Pimp doll. Speaking of which, I still have not see pics of this most talked about item. HEHE |
