Posted - 01/02/2003 : 07:01:54 AM Oh I don't know about that Jay. A real honest to goodness Philadelphia cheese steak could give your 12 inch ham sub a run for the money! (BTW hear in Philly we call subs hoagies....go figure? I can understand the logic for calling it a sub but how we got hoagie I don't know! Now that is something for Fluffy to research...hehehehe) |

PJK |
Posted - 12/28/2002 : 07:16:53 AM Oh, I see, sounds pretty good. I am sure Fluffy would add something gross like mustard or mayo! Toasted bread...now that brought back a memory, my kids always liked their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on toasted bread! It kind of melts the peanut butter! |
victorwootenfan |
Posted - 12/27/2002 : 8:55:55 PM nutella...it's this braizilian nut spread that is really tasty(almost like chocolate peanut butter) and then a spread of normal butter on top of that. really tasty! oh yeah, and toast the bread too! |

Posted - 12/25/2002 : 12:11:23 AM Sorry guys, that offer was for Fluffy only and he turned me down. I am guessing it was because of one of the following reasons and these are in no particular order.
1. He never read my post.........nah 2. He read my post and was ignoring it..........nah 3. He knows I am married and wouldn't cheat on my husband because if I did, I wouldn't even know who I was anymore????..........maybe 4. He's not worrying about it because this is only a message board and I live in PA and he's in DC and neither of us knows exactly where in those locations each other lives..............perhaps
Truth is I am faithful to my husband, but I do like to tease! Having said this let me add I made my husband a very happy man last night, this morning, tonight and tomorrow's looking pretty damn good so far! So Merry Christmas to me! hehehe And Merry Christmas to all of you!!! BTW..... IT'S SNOWING!!!!!! |

I stick with crunchy peanut butter and yellow mustard or a plain old Miracle Whip sandwich. |

Ugh......I used to love those when I was younger. But I had one a few weeks ago and I almost gagged it was so gross. For me it would either have to be a peanut butter sandwich (with a tall glass of milk) or a strawberry jelly sandwich. No in between. |

Posted - 12/17/2002 : 4:52:35 PM i'm not a cannibal.
when i was a kid i made these really weird sandwiches.... i'd toast the bread, put some ham and cheese in there, mayonaise, maybe even some cut up hot dogs, but the secret ingredient was soy sauce.... i loved it.
please don't put weird things in me. i'm better without being toasted, just ask Frank...

Posted - 12/17/2002 : 08:31:21 AM Smashed chick peas on sandwiches with loads avocado and veggies. I put a splash of soy sauce in the hummus instead of tahini. Definitely no mayo on any sandwich.
The big question is........do you cut your sandwich in half or diagonally or do you cut it at all. |

Change that onions and mayo to some tomatoes, and we're in business. |

I slice them in half and put them in the hinge of the sub sandwich I make that has two pickle slices, 6 pieces of meat, two lines of mayo and the same of mustard (opposite sides of the bread), one mozerella string cheese divided into 4 pieces down its length on one half of the bread (same side as mayo) and one slice of american cheese divided in twain on the other half (same side as mustard [so the colors match]). The cheese gets melted for 39 seconds, then the rest gets added.
You should be able to tell that on COULD NOT make that up. I know it's sad.
-what-
That's a bit outdated, as I don't eat sandwiches anymore...But soon, young skywalker, soon.
My sandwich sounds good, doesn't it? Copyright enthuTIMsiast 2002. I'm now going to mail the recipe to myself ...hehe... |
