Ok, I already know I am crazy but we are supposed to get our first snowstorm tomorrow night! I love snow!!!!!! I don't even mind shoveling! The only time I got tired of it was during the blizzard of 95.

Now I will be able to get into the Christmas spirit! Oooooh, hot cocoa, baking.....snow always makes me want to bake, and maybe I will wrap some presents. I just love how snow makes my house feel so warm and cozy. We better get this one or I am really going to be bummed!!!

I will try to come on Friday night. Should I bring a Magic Castle visitor pass for you?

teri :)
pcbTIM Posted - 01/21/2003 : 09:11:36 AM
OK, Teri......I work all this weekend if you're not busy. I work Friday 5-9 PM, Saturday 5-9 PM, and Sunday 12-5 PM. Hope to see ya there.
PJK Posted - 01/20/2003 : 9:15:28 PM
Yeah and I had some wine with it, sangria actually, and there was just one glassful left after dinner so I said, it's mine. Now, I am feeling quite relaxed tonight, hehehe
tericee Posted - 01/20/2003 : 5:40:14 PM
mmm... Baked Ziti!
PJK Posted - 01/20/2003 : 5:03:25 PM
Teri, I will see what I can come up with. I am so bummed that it was a financial bust. Wish I lived close to you because I would have worked with you to get more people. Oh well.

Glad at least that you had a good TIMe. Speaking of food, I better go make dinner...tonight baked ziti.

Unfortunately, the big fundrasier was a big flop -- financially, that is. I lost a whole bunch of money.

But the good news is that EVERYONE had a total blast, including me. All the magic shows were awesome, the prime rib was succulent, the broccoli was fresh, and the chocolate mousse cake was rich! I saw quite a few friends that I hadn't seen in a long while, including Burt Bell, and they were all so happy to be there that it made the whole thing worth it somehow. (I've never thrown myself a wedding or a huge party, so at age 35 it was about time I suppose!)

Since my party didn't raise a single cent for AIDS Project LA, though, I'm coming up short on my fundraising requirement for the end of the month. If I can get 80 people to donate $10 before Jan 31, I'll still be okay. I have a bunch of Magic Castle visitor passes now; I will mail one to any donor who asks!

If you have a credit card and $10 to spare, visit http://www.aidsmarathon.com/participant.jsp?runner=LAVN-2178 to sponsor me. If all you have is a checkbook, it's easy to download/print a donor form at http://www.aidsmarathon.com/docs/Donor_LA.pdf and mail it in. Since you already asked, pcbTIM, I can come by LMU and pick it up too. Just let me know when you're working.

Thanks to Pam for being a Supporter already!!!
PJK Posted - 01/20/2003 : 10:31:11 AM
Teri, hope your event was a big success! Hope you were able to get your $2000 back!

I was just working on bills...ugh! an TRYING to balance the checkbook, hehe, and thought "geeze it's getting dark in here," I looked out the window, it had been sunny, it is now completely cloudy and snowing so hard all you can see is white! Didn't think we were even supposed to get snow today!....Well my books are calling my name so I better end my little break and get back to work!
pcbTIM Posted - 01/13/2003 : 11:00:57 PM
Sorry......I have work on the 18th. Is there a way for me to send a check to you?

I've only lived here since '99 so that question is way beyond my knowledge.

Hey, are you coming to Magic Castle on Jan 18th or what?

teri :)

We've got snow in PA too! The best kind, sticks to the trees and grass and makes everything look so beautiful but it isn't staying on the sidewalks and roads so no shoveling or worry about driving!

Yes, Wahoooo snow!!!
Fluffy Posted - 01/05/2003 : 10:19:01 PM
We got snow here in DC again today. Luckily it was Sunday and hopefully the streets will be a little clearer tomorrow when I have to venture out for work.

Wahoooo Snow!!!!
Dickey500 Posted - 12/30/2002 : 11:59:07 PM
I can't say I've ever been a big fan of snow - unless it got me a snow day. But I just got back from visiting a friend in upstate NY and their 2 feet of snow...took my first ride on a 4-wheeler and I think I'm hooked. I'm planning on selling all my earthly possessions in exchange for a new hat, a 4-wheeler, and a ticket to the arctic circle...hope they have gas stations there.
spiff Posted - 12/29/2002 : 11:13:01 PM
i hate snow i got 2 feet on the 25th and got stuck
PJK Posted - 12/28/2002 : 07:37:28 AM
Our snow is almost gone now. I'm going out to see my folks today and they got almost a foot so I guess the ground will still be white there. I still can't believe we actually had a white Christmas....probably the best gift of all.
Fluffy Posted - 12/24/2002 : 3:49:19 PM
Who says they don't believe in MIRACLES!!!

IT JUST STARTED SNOWING BIG TIMe!!!
PJK Posted - 12/23/2002 : 10:17:03 PM
I am so dreaming of a white Christmas.....makes it perfect!
Fluffy Posted - 12/23/2002 : 9:54:41 PM
"I'm dreaming of a WHITE Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know"

but unfortunately the weather channel isn't supporting my dream DAMMIT!!

Hey Kev, come to the Avon CO show and I bet there will be snow, that way you can "look forward to snow" and know how it feels "to look forward to snow".
Evergreen Posted - 12/23/2002 : 09:52:51 AM
Well my area is expecting 4-6 inches and where I'm going is expecting 8-12 inches. I love snow but not driving in snowstorms. I am going to get to go back country/tele skiing this week which will be great in deep snow, however hopefully it will be an uneventful trip driving to the mountains this TIMe.
rhymsesthecat Posted - 12/22/2002 : 9:37:37 PM
not much different than not looking forward to snow
it resally isn't all its cracked up to be
pcbTIM Posted - 12/22/2002 : 8:24:54 PM
I wonder what it's like to look forward to snow on Christmas.
PJK Posted - 12/22/2002 : 2:27:00 PM

haha, man, I've got 80 all year long and I'd love to have some SNOW! I haven't been in snow for years. Maybe I can make it up to mammoth this winter some time. But after living aout in the desert for so long, where it is often triple digits, I can honostly say that I love the COLD! I even get mad at my roomate Tony when he turns he heater on, I'm like "DUDE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING???"
PJK Posted - 12/20/2002 : 07:05:06 AM
Guess we won't have a white Christman

Rain today and glad for it instead of snow because I will be hauling ass up to Penn State after work to get my son....although carrying out his computer, guitar, and junk in the rain won't be fun either...but at least I will have the joy of driving home with "my boy"....can't wait to hear what cd's he'lll play for me this TIMe!
PJK Posted - 12/19/2002 : 3:36:21 PM
Now I know I have a sick sense of humor because I thought those were really funny...thanks for the laugh, I needed that!
enthuTIMsiast Posted - 12/19/2002 : 12:34:54 PM
8 foot snowmen! Reminds me of this:

PJK Posted - 12/16/2002 : 11:58:50 PM
All of our snow melted. I am so bummed because I was looking for a white Christmas and it doesn't look as if that will happen....

We did have enough snow that the neighbors built an 8' snowman!!!! Now there is only a tiny pile of slush left where the snowman stood!
Jay Posted - 12/16/2002 : 4:06:51 PM
I haven't had one snow day all year. There's about half an inch on teh ground in places now, maybe I'll get freezing rain...
PJK Posted - 12/16/2002 : 2:53:45 PM
With all the heat in Mississippi in the political arena I am surprised it got cold enough to snow?? hehe
enthuTIMsiast Posted - 12/16/2002 : 2:30:15 PM
Hey it was snowing here the other day. Just nasty wet snow, and it didn't stick (good thing, too, cause we don't know how to drive in snow). But it did, it snowed a little. I was shocked and amazed.
PJK Posted - 12/06/2002 : 9:24:30 PM
Pretty cold in that gutter with all that snow, huh guys??????

Oh, HTG, my school isn't cancelled until there is either six inches on the road, snow is falling at 1 inch per hour, or there is ice on the roads. Because we get so much damn snow, it really has to SNOW for us to get off! And, we have five calamity days per year, so if we have up to five snow days, we don't have to make them up!
Jay Posted - 12/05/2002 : 3:25:54 PM
You guys don't know what it mean to snow until you live in Hard-on. We hold the Ohio snowfall record! AND! The measurement was taken less than a mile from my house! I could walk to the exact spot where they took the measurement! 74 inches. Damn, that's a lot of snow...only about five feet on the ground, though.
Evergreen Posted - 12/05/2002 : 11:02:30 AM
One what?
pcbTIM Posted - 12/05/2002 : 10:02:14 AM
OK fine........just one before class.
Fluffy Posted - 12/05/2002 : 07:39:40 AM

Fluffy Posted - 12/05/2002 : 07:38:38 AM
And you know what will warm you up on a nice snowy day, a..........
{=HTG=} Posted - 12/05/2002 : 06:51:23 AM
Yep, but its always usually worth it, especially when snown is involved.
Fluffy Posted - 12/05/2002 : 06:43:32 AM
So what you are saying is, if you lose a day, you will find it again. HEHE
{=HTG=} Posted - 12/05/2002 : 06:19:46 AM
DAMN! Here in Georgia we were warned of an "Ice Storm," but nothing, and school isnt cancelled. Oh well, it really wouldnt be worth to close it down without snow, especially because we have to make up that day lost.
PJK Posted - 12/05/2002 : 06:00:39 AM
Be safe Fluffy, because we love ya! I don't mind driving in the snow but I hate those people who are so afraid to drive that they do stupid things and slam on their brakes. I guess if they are scared I can understand, but it ticks me off just the same.
Fluffy Posted - 12/05/2002 : 05:45:15 AM
12:36am:I saw my first flake of snow.

Boy is it sticking here. I have to go be the runner for Vanessa Carlton today. Oh joy, driving around in the snow. Better not see anyone on a cell phone. HEHE
PJK Posted - 12/05/2002 : 05:43:10 AM
Wohoooo......just got my call from the phone chain at work that there's NO SCHOOL!!!!!!I am happy, happy, happy!!!

Hmmmm... snow... It was flurrying while I was up in VA... they might be getting hit hard today... it's actually 79 degrees here in FL though... don't guess I'll have to worry about missing any school any time soon
pcbTIM Posted - 12/04/2002 : 1:13:14 PM

I LOVE snow too. I miss living in the adirondacks with all of its feet and feet of snow. Burlington just doesn't get a good amount for frolicking.
PJK Posted - 12/04/2002 : 06:06:40 AM

HOT WATER
enthuTIMsiast Posted - 12/04/2002 : 12:22:38 AM
I live in Mississippi. I know of this "snow" only from pictures and descriptions.
Fleabass76 Posted - 12/04/2002 : 12:19:50 AM
I don't mind snow...until I have to do something constructive outside...like..anything. I also hate driving home 300 miles in a blizzard...
Silky The Pimp Posted - 12/04/2002 : 12:18:58 AM
I hope it ices over tonight like the forecast says... I don't want to have classes tomorrow.

I just got off the phone with TR, as evidenced by the new info posted on the TRelated side, and it is snowing in Santa Fe as we speak. He says it has been snowing there for a few days. I am not surprised as it seems like Santa Fe gets snow like clockwork right around Thanksgiving. I told him that we were supposed to get our first deluge tomorrow and Thursday. I love it when it snows!!! All except for that part about the bad drivers. THEY SUCK!!

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW
{=HTG=} Posted - 12/03/2002 : 10:37:25 PM
Hhhmmm, I hope we get snow this year down in Georgia.
