Posted - 10/22/2002 : 11:38:54 PM One of those guys is from the DC area. I hung out with them one nite after a show at an old club here called The Bayou(you may have seen it in an Eddie Murphy film). After the show, we went back to Derryberry and Alagia's studio and recorded them. It was alot of fun, even though I was not a huge fan of the band. NICE GUYS!! Has the DMB community ever heard any of Derryberry & Alagia CD's? They have put out a few and were huge here in the mid-atlantic region for a while. AS big, or bigger than DMB in the early days of DMB. I have never heard DMB people talk about them although they are very neatly interwoven into the DMB community. John Alagia even recorded the Chris Whitley show at The Bowery Ballroom for ATO records. I think they still work pretty closely with them. |

Posted - 10/20/2002 : 2:20:54 PM They are from Texas, and they were never really a hugely popular band, but I think Vineyard was their most well know song. |

Posted - 10/20/2002 : 1:42:54 PM Where are they from? I thought they were a southern thing. Maybe not. And I didn't even know they broke up. What's something by them that I might know? |
