the bonnaroo double cd!!! my god what a great selection of various styles of music. everything from the recently mentionable EDGAR MEYER(with bela fleck), to Les Claypool, to Robert Randolph(awesome pedal steel blues guitarist) and Norah jones. it's just really really good, very versatile styles of music. check it out my friends, it's worth it!!

Yeah, you should definately take any opportunity within about three hours to see him. But he's on tour with the Mississippi Symphony right now, so I'm not sure what the likelyhood of him being near you is, but then again, I don't know where you are.

But he only played about three or 4 pieces with the Symphony when I saw him, and then a solo piece that he said wasn't named (which incidentally sounded a lot like something that might be played with Bela). It was kinda bluegrassy. But good.

Anywho, DO go see him, and enjoy his music, even if you're not into classical. I am, so I really dug it. But I'm sure you can enjoy it even if you don't like classical just for the skill.

i haven't seen him yet, but i really can't wait to see him live. he's probably one my biggest inspirations for me in music right now. i am a senior in high school and i play double bass and thinking about him and his music really gives me the inspiration to practice at all, because he's so good, and is a classical musician too(which i don't get in to much classical music)

Another cd I picked up the other day and almost bought. But I hate paying over $20 for a cd, even if it is double. It does look promising, however, and maybe I'll have to pick it up sometime. With the new job (I'll eventually stop mentioning that) I'm able to get a few cds now for the first time in years. So that's super.

I just saw Edgar Meyer in concert about a month ago. He's really quite amazing.
