this is an easy one, just name your favourite TR song and album

Song: Open Up And Let It In

Album: See Into Your Soul

There are some awsome songs on Nomadic Wavelength, but I like SIYS cause its short and sweet, comparitively speaking of course.

It was an original and it was called "Forthcoming". He performed it a number of TIMes on the tour, sometimes with different guitars. It was always great, but the performance of it in Seattle particularly stands out to me.

Favorite Song / Album

Let's see....now....

Right now, it is this...

Favorite songs are about four....

Yak, Big Blast Of Hot Air, Kundalini Bonfire, There is no Judgment, and Bad Side.

So that's five. Either way.

Kundalini is really good to me right now.. Yak and it are the top two..

Favorite album is either Gossip Of The Neurons or See Into Your Soul. Probably the first one. But either way...

Lately my favorite song has become You Are My Sanity. I just can't get enough of it for some reason.

Sanctuary was my first Tim Reynolds album, and I think it's a great one to start on, simply because its a double disc: Disc I, Electric, Disc II Acoustic. But if you want to stick to acoustic, an album like Stream or Gossip of the Neurons would be good for you. But Sanctuary realy got me into the full Tim Reynolds musical world. I mean, its a great mixture of his electric works (Beneath the Surface, It's Dead, Pet Rock) and his great acoustic works (Wishful Filling Jewel, Intuition Like a Child, and You Are My Sanity (one of my favorite TR songs!)).

Just my two cents.

Ok I finally got the two albums (Stream and Nomadic Wavelength) from Amazon (shipped yesterday, got today, so fast...kudos). These are the only two I own, but between the two, and like dirtysloth said, I like Nomadic Wavelength better. Not sure why. Just that it's an awesome album. Songs like "An then they were free" make this a great album.

But I just got Sanctuary and whenever my friend gets it to me I'll be able to comment on it from a "beginning Tim" perspective.

By the way, I just watched VH1 Storytellers, and I think Tim's fingers were just made to play the guitar. He is just amazing.

Ok, just a nasty truth about myself....I don't have any Tim Reynolds albums. I know I try to be a fan and all, but what can I say, I'm a "Starting Member." So my question: What album (staying on topic) would anyone recommend if I liked acoustic stuff better than electric. I haven't been able to pick up on that about the albums, no matter how hard I try. (Aaah, now I see it, thanks Arthen). Nomadic Wavelength and Stream. Ok, so those will be my first two. >unless anyone can offer better acoustic selections?<

It's so hard to name a favorite song or album, kinda just depends on what mood I happen to be in, so let's just say one of my favorite songs would be Sacrifice(anybody else love that song? Don't remember anybody ever talking about it here) and one of my favorite albums is Nomadic Wavelength.

All of these are good songs but I have to go with Decline in Reason or Kundalini Bonfire.

Good question,
Phil or Andy

Valley Of Flowers... and I'd have to say that I enjoy his live recordings more than his album work. There's just a certain playful/improv vibe that comes through in his live stuff more so than on an album. It's all great though.

I have already posted on this question but oh well.

New favorite album is totally Gossip of the Neurons. It has an awesome version of After the Dust Settles and Letting Go. And all the improv work for Kundalini and Blast o' Hot Air. Also Breathing space is a mellow and beautiful song.

Favorite song is tie between Feeling Doors and Entity! But Breathing Space is moving up.

Keep tapin and tradin.

Unfortunately I haven't heard all Tim's albums so I can't choose an album. But my favourite song would be one of Breathing Space, Is Anybody Here, and Wayfarer.

GuitarGuy305 Posted - 08/31/2001 : 02:51:51 AM
Forgot to mention my favorite acoustic song, it would have to be There is No Judgment. I think that is a beautiful song.

Favorite album is Nomadic Wavelength, but in Close second Stream. Those are the two albums with everything acoustic. And I think he really gets his feelings out on those. Favorite song is tougher, at the Moment I can really groove on: "Feeling Doors", "Entity" , "Fluroscence", "After the Dust Settles", "Smile" and that song that Eura sings on, that song can make me laugh everytime I hear it, and Tim has a cool sound going in the background. Besides, those are some of the best lyrics around nowadays.
KevinLesko Posted - 08/26/2001 : 8:17:02 PM
This is always a tough choice... I think Astral Projection is my favourite (old school spelling!!) album, and my fav song off there is Put the Gasmask On.

As for acoustic, damn... too many. I really like As Far as we can see, the wayfarer, hopeful heresy, just too many good ones

I really like the soundscape stuff too, "Noise till it's over" kicks ass!

See ya, wouldnt wanna be ya!

Album: Puke Matrix Live
Song(s): Breathing Space (acoustic)/On The Edge/Seeking Refuge w/ Mike Sokolowski

On the acoustic front I gotta add Turn It Into Love, Is Anybody Here? and Jemez Rolling Papers.

Favorite song would have to be Bowl of the Altar, favorite album Sanctuary, because of the double electric/acoustic disc.
