It's actually not that complicated. Take that last one, for example.......the "blades" sticking out of each parallel line are the opposite of each other. By following those with your eye, your eyes want to make those parallel lines go with them. However, in this example, you can clearly see that they are parallel by simply looking at the orange gaps between the lines.

Damn, JTR, are you saying you actually learned something from our little board? That is pretty amazing. To imagine our little board as a learning tool in your psych class. Now that is bizarre!!

That's another good one DirtySloth. I have been studying them trying to figure out what causes the optical illusion effect. I can't figure it out, but it is sure kewl. Thanx for the fun, fun, fun!!

Those would have been perfect today for my Psyc class with The Tim Reynolds Teacher since we're learning about vision and perception, and all the demonstrations he had were far less spectacular.

It was kind of another kewl optical illusion. But I didn't get it beyond that.
