www.neo-modus.com

I think it would work better than our beloved FTP now that thats been on a perminent hiatus, not unlike Primus.

Hey Erich, do you know how to use this thing? I installed it and everyTIMe I tried to connect to a hub, it says that that hub is running "version 1.0.25 of the NeoModus Direct Connect Hub Software"....and then I get disconnected. What's going on?

ok, pretty much, i have no idea how to start a hub. I need to find someone and learn. Everything though, the starting of the hub and the P2P and everything, is free though. And yeah, its pretty much a moderated P2P service where if you set it up correctly (like dmbshnhaven, go check them out) the crap files can be weeded out.

So it IS p2p, right? But crap files don't get spread? Is that basically the advantage?

And how could we start a hub? I mean, just have the stuff on our computers and allow it to be downloaded?

And the main question. How much would this cost?

its a file swapping program, but its more organized cause you have moderators in each hub, so people would have to be organized or they can easily be booted. I joined dmbshnhavenii.net and its wonderful, you just go around browsing until you find something you like and start downloading, and the hub ops boot anyone sharing MP3 shows or anyone thats not adhearing to the rules.

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure how that would work. Please explain, Erich.

Would you make your own branch, or would the TR files just be floating around as if they were on Morpheus or something?
