Posted - 09/28/2001 : 05:21:03 AM Tonight was the first time I'd ever heard of Tim Reynolds, let alone seen him perform. I'll admit that I was utterly blown away. Of course I dropped everything and downloaded a Entity. While being a truly breathtaking track, it lacked most of the snazzy pedal effects he used during the Kilborn show. My question is this: what Tim Reynolds work should I check out first? It's nice to see some musicians still improvise during live performances...I'd still like a recording of it though :-)

Posted - 09/30/2001 : 01:17:54 AM Tims effects are getting weirder, and weirder, and weirder...
I thought the first leg of the NM tour was really quite... deep, if you may. Many things to grasp all at once in one performace. Mind expanding, in the floydian realms.
Anyway, its really great to see someone who got drawn in by the Late Late Show, im happy Tims audiance is getting bigger. My opinion, download 10/26/00. My fave tim show :)

Posted - 09/30/2001 : 01:14:12 AM Yeah, Gossip has some of the effects like Tim was using on the Late Late Show, yet now he uses a few more pedals than he had back when Gossip was recorded. If you want an album of acoustic guitar, sans effects, go for Stream, its kickass.

Posted - 09/30/2001 : 12:46:52 AM Gossip Of The Neurons has a lot of the pedal effects that Tim used on Kilborn. I'm also looking into getting more Tim albums. Right now Gossip of the Neurons is the only one I have

Posted - 09/28/2001 : 05:47:53 AM Welcome. Yes, Tim kicks much ass. You have many options. If you liked tonight's performance I suggest buying either Nomadic Wavelength or See Into Your Soul. You can also hear some really good improv material by downloading any of the live acoustic shows here on the FTP site. I recommend 05-07-01 Wetlands. It was a truly awesome show. But hell, they are all awesome.
