What Tim song would be good for my band to cover, as a fully band orchestrated song? we are a power trio, drums, one guitar, one bass. what do y'all think?

I vote for Back Door. Now that is a song for a POWER TRIO!!!! It's from Astral Projection if you want to check it out.

I don't know all of the song names, so I'm no real help (no surprise there) but You Are My Sanity would be a good slow one, maybe. One some people might be able to recognize, and then recognize that you all are adding your own touch to it. That would be cool.

i've heard about 5 versions of it exactly like that myself... i think we're gonna to try to pick one of the slower acoustic songs he does, and run with it adding bass and drums to it. that's the concept that we have so far, but... i need to get some more TR cds so i can pick more stuff out.

I'll be glad to B&P you any TR3 I have, and ID (shn sourced) and whatever else...anything, really. I'll get my list updated (with the TR3 stuff I have) and then if you want, you'll be able to hear it. A lot of that stuff I mentioned is on Light Up Ahead, and I'll burn that for you, too... Just whatever you want, really. I'll be glad to hook you up.

i would say i'd love to do a TR3 song, but i haven't heard any of that yet. i only have the first disc of ID, see into your soul, and nomadic wavelength. but i'm trying to figure out what what be cool off of one of those cds.

Bad Side, Beneath The Surface, Light Up Ahead, Hornet's Nest, Bleed Green... Just about any of the TR3 stuff, really...
Probably Bad Side would have to be my top choice. And if you want to cover a cover, then you could definately do Spill The Wine, that's a tight song.
But I'm actually guessing that you're asking not about TR3 songs, huh? Hmmmm, I do not know what you all should do then. I'll be there are some good songs on ID or Petroglyph that you could use. Just a thought, and I'm not sure of one in particular. But ID is now in my cd player, so maybe I'll get back to you. And I still don't have Petroglyph, so I can't offer suggestions there...
