Posted - 10/08/2002 : 7:52:30 PM Thanx for the update, I had been wondering about that. Good to hear it was not drug related. If there can be a GOOD thing in someones untimely death.(and yes I did not capitalize TIM in this word intentionally) Hopefully this news will help his loved ones find an easier PEACE with his passing. My heart goes out to all who were affected by him.

Posted - 10/08/2002 : 7:28:25 PM i heard a couple of days ago that the lead singer for drowning pool died of natural causes. he apparently had some heart condition and his death was related only to that, not to drugs.
http://www.cdnow.com/allstararticle/fid=340296/from=sr-117124
"The toxicology report on Drowning Pool singer Dave Williams, who was found dead on the band's tour bus in August (allstar, Aug. 14), has revealed that the singer died of natural causes.
According to a spokesperson for the Medical Examiner's Office for the Northern District of Virginia, Williams died of cardiomyopathy, not anything drug-related, as was widely speculated.
Cardiomyopathy is a disorder affecting the heart muscle resulting in inadequate heart pumping. The disorder can be caused by several factors, including viral infections, heart attacks, alcoholism, and severe hypertension, among others.
On the band's official Web site, Drowning Pool road manager Steve Shaw posted the following message: "The news is in, the toxicology came back negative. 'Nothing found,' and this is the truth my friends."
As previously reported (allstar, Aug. 21), next up for the band is a memorial DVD chronicling the life of Williams. The DVD is currently being prepped for a Nov. 19 release on Wind-Up Records."
thought everyone would like to know.

Posted - 08/26/2002 : 07:24:15 AM It seems he was found dead in Manassas VA, where TimRew lives. They think he may have been dead on bus since Indiana. How pretty and glamorous is that? If it turns out to be drug related I will have less sympathy. If you ride the white horse, you risk gettin' BUCKED!! Either way you are FUCKED!! You are either a slave or dead, what kinda choice is that? It is hard to feel sorry for people who have the world in the palm of their had(at least from our perspective) and throw it all away. I feel sorry for his friends and family that he leaves behind, they are the ones who truly suffer after something like this. I feel worst for them. My heart goes out to them. May they find PEACE!!

Posted - 08/21/2002 : 6:40:50 PM I only heard that song a few times, but I'll be honest, I kinda dug it. I don't care if they were the best musicians or not. The song was pretty cool. But of course, like I said, I only heard it a few times.
