Why didn't you tell me that TIM covered an Ozzy Osbourne song on one of these discs!!!!

This seriously makes my day...it's just a verse of course, but it's awesome...

War Pigs is the song... seriously, this is good stuff... and covers of other hits such as Jesus Loves The Little Children (instrumental)...

Ha.. Fabulous.

I'm schizophrenic. And so am I. am I. am I. am I.

Last nite in Clifton Park NY TR went into a little bit of "Supernaut" by 1000 Homo DJ's. It was awesome!! Rew and I were quite excited to hear him break into it. His interpretation was amazing as you would expect.

Can anyone help me with the two questions I asked in the two previous posts? I'd appreciate it!

TR3
Jack Straw’s Charlotte, NC
11-30-95

1. Tripping on you
2. Chatterbox (Tim Solo)
3. Move on Ahead
4. It’s Your Thing
5. I am Learning
6. Spill the Wine
7. Eye of the Mind
8. Don’t Know What
9. Beneath the Surface
10. Light up Ahead
11. Long Road, Hard Day
12. Green Radar
13. Johnny’s Song
14. From this World
15. Going Too (two tracks)
16. Slipping into Darkness
17. Coming After You

This is the one that's giving me the problems...The disc you labeled "1" doesn't start with Tripping on You. Disc 2 does. I'm just curious which is right?

All of the ones about which I'm talking are earlier ones. None of them are on the setlist page.

I am so confused at this point about what shows you are talking about, but may I suggest checking the set list page. Some of the earlier ones won't be there but the later stuff should be. That might help you sort some of them out.

Well, I'm still going to have to look for the song...I know it's on 5.11.01, but that's from LizK, not Kevin. I heard it on one of the shows from you Kevin, I just don't remember which one. Maybe 5.5.00 or something...

And a quick question for you...did you just pick out the songs yourself for the shows you setlisted? Or did you go by something? And if you picked them out, did you listen to the whole show or did you just skip between songs? Because on a lot of songs, TIM introduces them as something other than what you've got listed. It's no big deal, of course, but I just wanted to know if TIM's messin' with us or what.

Any help would be great!

What you should be wanting, by the way, is the Ozzy Osbourne cover verse...War Pigs is an awesome song...and to hear TIM do it is even better. He sounds almost like Ozzy did back in the days before his brain was permanently toast...

I'll have to try to get See Into Your Soul and ID out of my cd player before I can check. I don't remember offhand, and I didn't note it in my database, so I'll have to listen for it. Shouldn't take long. But actually, there are other shows where the JLTLC is MUCH more clear...in this one it's more of a faint rendition...but you can catch it if you listen.

If I think about it, I'll listen to the show I think it is tonight and tell you later.

Kevin, I've just realized that TIM intros a lot of the songs himself...so that helps...well, a good bit, as you might imagine... But some of the songs he doesn't, and I'm going to work on them a little. I'll get back to you sometime with what I've got so far.

Well, I'm going to give it a shot...but I have trouble sometimes even with DMB shows I get....and I know their stuff pretty well...so to say that I'll even come close to getting all the songs in that show would be a farce...

Here goes...

I looked for that one too when I pulled up the others that I posted and I didn't have it, but I'd be glad to listen to the disc and post a set, or I can just fill in any holes that you can't figure out.

My_Bad_Side Posted - 08/15/2002 : 6:55:43 PM
Hey Kevin, I just wondered if you happened to have a list for the 5.5.00 show as well...It's not listed on the website here...that's one I might be able to figure out myself, but I'm not sure. If you have it, tho, just post it here if you can. Thanks for all the shows! They're great!

Aah, Spill The Wine - Eric Burdon / War. Pretty sure I've never heard this song before. And for that matter, I didn't know who it was that sang for the Animals...but now I do. That IS an awesome song.

Is that disc 2 Track 6 of the 1995 show? If so, then yeah, it's sweet... I don't recognize the song, but I can recognize it as a cover.

Sweet song. I might say it's close up there with Bad Side...along those lines, kinda groovy, not all technical and whatnot. Of course there are times when I want technical...

Good stuff. And Kevin, if you can provide setlists, I'll offer some of these shows for the weekly B&P. What do you think?

Well, since i have no TR shows, I am of no use...but did the creator of Beverly Hillbillies make Green Acres? I NEED TO KNOW THIS...don't make Sandy Carl come back out!

remember the first song TR played at the HOB show we were at? It is a revamped version of that Green Acres song, without the lyrics obviously!

I don't know, but some rapper covered and altered Green Acres one time... it was quite entertaining...
