Well, I DO have to pay for MY truck... My dad DID by the wiring manual for $15, however. Made a bet with me. If he buys it and it helps us, I pay him for it. If he buys it and it doesn't help anything, he still pays.
He paid for the book.

My car broke down at the gas station.......It's getting fixed....but I don't have to pay for it......so therefore it isn't really my car.

Well....it'll probably cost at least $100 to fix. Well, it's already cost that. If I have to take it to the shop, it'll have to be towed ($50) then the parts (at least $100), then labor, probably two hours or so at 60 an hour ($120)...so we're looking at $300 minimum if what we think is wrong with it is what's wrong with it.
I'm not used to haveing a vehicle that breaks down. I have a new place in my ... heart, I guess, for people that have to live with this every day.
I'm just hoping my truck gets better soon.

I'll gladly help either or both of you move. Just pay my expenses...and that includes fixing my truck, which is at this moment not functoning...at all... I even had to disconnect the battery...it's sad...my truck's not old enough to say "it's not running" but that's the truth...
Maybe it's because I've helped so many people move..

Yeah....me too. I gotta move into my apartment on Friday morning before noon because I have work. This means that I have to leave my house at 8 AM and take the 405 South. The fucking 405 South on Friday morning. I'll get to my campus (20 miles) in no less than 2 hours.

OJ eh? better than working for peanuts I suppose. Luckily I drive an 89 escort and there is no line forming of people who need to use it. On the plus side, it did get Me, Jason and Liz to Hollywood in one piece.

Well, at least I got a glass of orange juice out of the deal. The guy's chinese mother who speaks about 10 english phrases was at the house to where the items went, she thanked me and everything, then went and got me a tall glass of oj. I like oj a whole lot. A whole lot. It's almost suspicious.
But that was my payment. And I got the good feeling of knowing that I helped a nice young couple (married today, in fact) get their stuff all in one place so they can live a long and happy life together.

Well, since i don't drive, i can't say I have a truck, but at one point or the other, EVERYONE in my family that had a truck (Three, including my dad) has been suckered into helping someone move. I understand your pain!
