Posted - 08/25/2002 : 2:34:58 PM Sorry, I just hate Julianne Moore. And I think Jodie's way more attractive also. Not to mention she can actually act.

For me, that would be all Simpsons knowledge.

Posted - 08/22/2002 : 11:20:03 PM That guy's name isn't River Pheonix, he's dead. That's what the RHCP song "Transcending" off of One Hot Minute is about. His last name is Pheonix though, i remembered wondering if they were related...which I guess you might of meant by calling him River? You seem to know quite a bit...

Posted - 08/22/2002 : 11:02:52 PM Oh, And you can blame Jodie Foster for not taking the role in Hannibal, she turned it down after they offered her vast amounts of money to reprise her role. Considering the act she had to follow, Julianne Moore didn't suck.
And the new movie is Red Dragon, it was the first book Thomas Harris wrote involving Hannibal Lecter. And with Ed Norton, and Harvey Keitel, it's going to kick ass.

Posted - 08/22/2002 : 10:58:14 PM A Little known fact about Julia Roberts: intially she was offered a role in a movie version of Mr. Ed. She declined once she found out she was to play Ed.
She has a HORSE FACE. That's what is with the huge friggin mouth! She could bite an apple in half.
Mad Max was awesome! And River Phoenix did an awesome job in the movie. Especially the discussion about the crop circles and nerds. Heh. Good flick.

Posted - 08/22/2002 : 10:21:48 PM I liked the movie, the whole faith thing didn't really touch me since...IT'S A MOVIE AND COINCIDENCES ALWAYS HAPPEN IN MOVIES...but other than that...the only other thing i didn't like was all of the flashback things in Mel Gibson's head like at the end where they tied everything together, it's like people are too stupid to figure out movies anymore so they have to do crap like that. Jesus, I hate that. But I really did like the movie. I want to see the next Hannibal movie, I hated the last one because the replaced Jodie Foster w/ that stupid whore from Boogie Nights who couldn't keep her accent if her life depended on it, but the next one has a good line-up in my opinion.

Posted - 08/18/2002 : 11:28:19 PM Yeah, it was a movie about faith....which I have none of, in God anyway, but I do believe in strange coincidences, or things that are "meant to be", so the movie had a differnet meaning for me, and Mel Gibson's character happened to interpret it a different way.
As far as the alien encounter aspect, I really liked how the only storyline in the movie was following the one family. They never cut to downtown philadelphia, showing aliens killing people and such, it was all about the family, and them following events from their home, on their TV and radio, as many of us would if and when this really happens.

Posted - 08/04/2002 : 7:47:24 PM It was a decent faith movie, which is what it was actually all about, but it was a much better horror movie, at least to me, since aliens still scare the shit out of me.
It was an original idea, using an alien invasion/action to get across a message of faith. It was lame, I'll admit, but still, original.
